Job Description:
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of manufacturing tasks that contribute to the production of high-quality lead-acid batteries. You will be operating machinery, assembling components, performing visual and quality checks, and following standard operating procedures to ensure each product meets the highest standards.
You will be working in a controlled high-lead environment, where safety and hygiene are critical.
Full training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and regular health monitoring will be provided to ensure your safety, including showering before leaving site and undergoing regular on-site medical and blood tests
Your duties will include:
- Operating machinery and equipment efficiently and safely
- Conducting visual inspections and quality control checks
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Reporting any faults or quality concerns to supervisors
- Complying with all health and safety regulations, including the use of air-flow masks and decontamination procedures
- Following structured work instructions and production targets
Shift Patterns Available:
Two-Week Rotation:
- Week 1: Monday-Wednesday (Days), Thursday-Friday (Afternoons)
- Week 2: Monday-Wednesday (Afternoons), Thursday-Friday (Days)
Three-Week Rotation:
- Week 1: Monday-Wednesday (Days), Thursday-Friday (Afternoons)
- Week 2: Nights
- Week 3: Monday-Wednesday (Afternoons), Thursday-Friday (Days)
Pay and Shift Allowances:
- Hourly Rate: 12.47 (35.5 hours per week)
- Shift Allowances:
- Days (05:50-14:00): 3.28 per day
- Afternoons (13:50-22:00): 10.08 per day
- Nights (21:50-06:00): 15.13 per day
