Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.

About the role:

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across 7 key production lines, managing a workforce of approximately 200 people. Each 24-hour cycle produces up to 200,000 units, and you will play a critical role in keeping the operation running smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting Production Managers across both days and nights, ensuring effective handovers.
  • Driving performance against KPIs, including materials usage, labour variances, and overall efficiency.
  • Actively managing production challenges such as breakdowns, staffing gaps, and rolling shortages.
  • Spending time on the factory floor, understanding start-up processes, and embedding hygiene and quality standards.
  • Supporting site-wide transformation initiatives, working with engineering, hygiene, technical, and planning teams.
  • Analysing data, chairing meetings, and turning insights into actions that improve performance.
