Job Description
Fed up with running the same kit day-in, day-out with zero ownership or progression?
Here's what's different.
You'll be running specialist converting machinery in a cleanroom - not just button-pushing. You'll own the process, troubleshoot on the fly, and actually be trusted to make decisions when something's not right. No standing around waiting for someone senior to fix it.
The reality.
You're operating technical equipment that processes materials to tight tolerances. Start-up, run, shut down, changeovers, and basic maintenance. You'll hit daily targets, log quality checks, and work with the team to improve machine reliability and cut downtime. It's fast-paced, technical, and you need to stay switched on.
Cleanroom environment, so gowning procedures and following SOPs are non-negotiable. Regulated manufacturing - everything's documented, everything's traceable.
What you get:
£30,000-£33,000 depending on experience. Two shift patterns available:
- Standard day: Mon–Thurs 6:45am–4:30pm, Friday 6:45am–1:30pm (43.75hrs)
- Double shift: 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm, Mon–Fri (40hrs)
Regulated environment, proper training, and a team that actually wants you to develop - not just clock in and out.
You'll love this if you:
- Know your way around machinery and can troubleshoot when it plays up
- Can read technical specs, work instructions, and actually follow them
- Don't need babysitting - you crack on independently
- Want to work somewhere that values reliability and problem-solving over box-ticking
- Prefer early finishes and no weekends to a standard 9–5
Experience in packaging, converting, food, pharma, or any regulated manufacturing transfers well. If you've worked in cleanrooms or with technical processing equipment before, even better.
This won't hang around. If you're tired of being treated like a number and want a role where your input actually matters, let's talk.
