About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you’ll be part of the team responsible for manufacturing . You’ll work with specialist machines to produce high-quality parts used in industries where quality and reliability are essential.
You don’t need experience to start – we’ll train you. You’ll begin as a Level 1 Operator and can progress through Levels 2 to 4 as you learn more skills and take on more responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Operate extrusion machines to produce silicone profiles, seals, and gaskets
- Prepare tooling and materials for production runs
- Cut, join, or finish parts according to specifications
- Check parts meet quality standards during and after production
- Keep machines and work areas clean, tidy, and safe
- Report any issues to a supervisor quickly
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily production goals
- Follow company procedures for quality and safety
What We’re Looking For
- A good attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable using tools and machinery (training provided)
- Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Previous manufacturing experience is a bonus, but not essential
Interest in manufacturing/factory work, production etc. computer literate (Excel, Word, we use an Access database), willingness to learn. Full in-house training will be provided.
Hours – Mon-Fri – – 6:00am – 14:30pm
- 40 hours per week 6:00-14:30 and 14:00-22:30 bi weekly work pattern.

A Machine Operator is required to join a steel manufacturing company based in Cradley Heath, working mornings and afternoons rotating weekly.
You will be working on a CNC machine used to cut and drill steel. You will loading and unloading the machine, measuring materials using verniers, and you may also be doing some assembly work as and when required, using the components produced on site to assemble various structures.
The duties for this role include;
- Operating a CNC machine
- Loading and unloading the machine
- Assembling components together
- Measuring the materials using a vernier
This position is on a temp basis to begin with, with potential of a long-term perm basis depending on work levels and performance. The role is working mornings and afternoons -
- Working - 6am - 2pm / 1:30pm - 10pm (2pm - 8pm Fridays)
- Paying - 13.00 per hour to start
- Rising to 13.60 after 13 weeks

The role is working in the production/ machining of metal parts for a variety of manufacturing clients throughout the UK and Europe.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating of the Press Machine and other similar machinery to manufacture components for our internal assembly flow lines, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery.
Duties:
- Set up the press with the correct tooling (dies, collar, blanks etc) to suit the spec of job required. li>Follow the correct production processes li> Responsible for striking the correct number of components required from the works order li>QC the completed work with the QC packing team to ensure the product is ready for dispatch
- Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of the press ready for the next order
- Ensure Health & Safety is carried out and followed
Suitable Candidate:
- Previous experience of setting and operating machinery is necessary li>Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings and able to inspect work using a range of measurement equipment

Weekday Nights: 10:00pm - 6:00am (Monday to Thursday) and 4:00pm - 9:00pm (Friday)

Applicants must be available to work the full night shift pattern as required.
Pay Rates:
Weekends (up to 37.5 hours): 16.41 per hour

Our client within the Littleborough area is looking to recruit an experienced Machine Operative on a temporary basis for approx 1 month.The Successful candidate will be fully trained on all workstations within the company.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a very successful and long standing business.
Hours will be Monday to Friday on rotating 6am to 2pm, and 2pm to 10pm shift. The hourly starting rate is £12.48 per hour but this is currently under review
