Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

- Support audits and risk assessments related to production processes and equipment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with design engineers, operations teams, and supply chain to support smooth production workflows.
- Contribute engineering input during product development and process improvement initiatives.
Training & Technical Support
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to production personnel on new technologies, equipment, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop technical documentation, including work instructions and process guidelines.
Cost & Efficiency Improvements
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through process improvements, material optimization, and productivity enhancements.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of modern manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
- Proven experience in process design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, process simulation tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

The Production Planner has direct responsibility for planning and scheduling lubricants and chemicals manufacturing activities to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Responsibilities as our Production Planner are to:
- Create and manage the weekly production schedule, li>MPS Work alongside S&OP specialist to ensure the availability of raw materials and components, MRP
- Raise and process work orders
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in alignment with customer demand and inventory targets.
- Lean key player - ensure high OEE and Adherence to Plan is achieved
- Monitor production progress and revise schedules to accommodate changes in demand, material delays, or equipment downtime
- Chair weekly planning meeting
- Coordinate with supply chain and procurement to ensure timely availability of materials

- Work closely with manufacturing team to optimize and improve weekly schedule to support customer requirements

- Lead and own root causing for Gravesend factory
- Optimise inventory levels within set limits
- Build and utilise planning tools through internal systems (e.g. Excel, Power BI and SAP) to analyse data and support ongoing automation for long term improvement
- Conduct continuous improvement and planning projects
- Support the team with daily activities
Essential Skills Required:
- Previous experience of production planning
- Good understanding of manufaufaturing processes
- Familiarity with capacity planning and scheduling tools

- Advanced excel skills
