Overview:
Working for a global business we now require a Production Planner to join the production and demand planning team. You will be working closely with the Planning and Demand Manager whilst liaising with various departments including production, production planners, production managers and the operations manager.
You will be tasked to organise raw material coming into the business, liaising with suppliers, ensuring warehouse and storage stock levels are maintained whilst assisting in the planning of production.
Key responsibilities of the Production Planner role:
- Monitor stock levels and ensure flow of material coming into the business matches demand and sales levels.
- Use ERP and planning tools to streamline operations
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data and market trends
- Collaborate with procurement, production, logistics, and sales teams
- Create inventory and replenishment plans to ensure product availability
The ideal candidate / Production Planner may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Qualification in supply chain management
- Previously worked in manufacturing / production
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel - Pivot tables, vlookup etc.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities

- Experience working with automated assembly management and production IT systems.
- Proven track record in a Process or Manufacturing Engineering role, delivering value through effective solutions and demonstrating urgency in meeting internal stakeholder needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams at all organisational levels.
- Practical problem solver, experienced in using structured methodologies such as A3 or 8D, and comfortable making robust, data-driven decisions.
