- At Month end prepare and post JEs as required, review shipyard BudVars with Project Team – Manager Project Accounting.
- Acts as the focal point in the core Project team to gather all cost information associated to the project to allow the Project Manager to monitor and control the Budget and report updates utilizing Company standard systems. Updated financial information to be provided to Manger Accounting Projects as required for cost tracking, month-end close and the Forecast/Budget process.
- Project Internal Control compliance - Ensure a system of internal controls exists and is implemented during the Shipyards/Projects in accordance to company management systems.
- Ensure financial regulatory requirements are adhered to by coordinating effort (incl. Stat books as required).
- Monitor vendor contract obligations (performance/payment milestones).
- Ensure Project Team LC&E compliance (including 3rd parties such as Agents).
- Bi-Weekly OOS Project Reporting - Financial Section.
- Review and Preparation of any HR administrative tasks (office supplies, visa etc.).
- Assist Manager Project Accounting in the close-out of the Project and hand over to Operations which will include following up with the shipyard and vendors to ensure timely processing of their invoices.
- Coordinate project travel and schedule. Work with Travel to book upon review for financial responsibility. Liaise with corporate travel to arrange discount for car rentals and hotels. Host Local site vendor meetings (accommodation, transportation, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related area.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of related work experience preferably in project administration, accounting, and or human resources. Needs to have high degree of general business experience.
- Preferred 8+ years of related work experience preferably in project administration, accounting, and or human resources.
Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge
- Transocean accounting systems and procedures, preferred.

- Continuously contributes to STERIS values and business imperatives, referring to these throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions developed are realistic, achievable and sustainable.
- Executes departmental goals and objectives and establish operating mechanisms to drive collaboration and decision-making agility.
- Execute the Innovation strategy for the AST Business unit in line with company goals, with key milestones and deliverables.
- Visit sites across the business unit, identify risks and reasons for necessary innovative developments e.g. retaining people, inefficient use of current systems, opportunity to repurpose labour elsewhere.
- Utilize strong organizational and project tracking skills to setup and develop projects in line with departmental strategy and business need.

Required Experience
- Educated to degree level, or 2-5 years experience
- Project management experience
- Awareness of quality management and documentation.
- Good understanding of the principle of continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership and Communication qualities (leading by example).
- High degree of trust, integrity and honesty.
- Acute awareness of the importance of safety to the business.
- Willing to go the extra mile for our Customers (Customer First, always).
- Well-developed understanding of risk and risk avoidance.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
- Good understanding of technology and innovation. Some exposure to the industrial irradiation
- systems would be a distinct advantage.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and make rational decisions.
- Excellent ability of promoting team activities across STERIS organization.
- Attention to detail.
