Skills and experience that will lead to success

Good understanding of defined benefit pensions.
Good knowledge of Aonu2019s products, people and tools or a willingness to learn.
Ability to deliver effective client service to multiple clients within agreed financial and time budgets.
Experience or a track record in
Relationship management; and/or
Project management; and/or
Technical analysis.
You may be part or fully qualified in a relevant Professional qualification (e.g. APMI, FIA, PRINCE2 etc.) although this is not a requirement.

An electrical engineer/project manager with the following skills and experience.
- a good degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering.

- significant knowledge of industrial electrical infrastructure with experience in HV to LV, embedded generation, HV and LV switchgear, substations.

The Person:
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience of implementing infrastructure projects.
- Some experience/ exposure to solution design for simple projects.
- Managed at least one migration to Office 365.
- Some experience of cloud solutions – e.g., moving servers onto Azure.
- Good business communication skills.
- Customer facing skills - ideally worked in an IT outsourcing / Consultancy environment with external customers.
Education / Qualifications
May have or be working towards one of the following qualifications:
- MCITP Server or Enterprise Administrator qualification.

Specifics of the role include –
- Prepare and review data for Pensions Project work including GMP, buy-out / buy-in and new business transition.
- Prepare schemes for pensions dashboard readiness
- Use your technical pensions knowledge to manage data migration, recalculation, and scheme event projects.
- Produce and implement Project Plans ensuring the Team is working to the same objectives.
- Work closely in a team environment helping co-ordinate junior members of staff who are part of the project team.
- Help to deliver a range of client projects within agreed timescales. Proactively address anytime scale issues, bringing it to the attention of the project team.
- Build strong relationships with all parties and stakeholders involved in the project. Develop good client relationships.

Operations:
- Lead in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios under the guidance of Managers to ensure model robustness and reliability.
- Review and interpret commerdcial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in the financial model.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to validate model assumptions and outputs, aiding clients in making informed decisions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results.
- Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies to uphold our high standards and ensure consistency.
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
People:
- Train, motivate and manage junior team members on assignments.
- Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments.
- Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
- Simplify complex financial model issues to make them understandable for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
- A good appreciation of accounting concepts, an accounting qualification beneficial.
- An sound understanding of Project Finance concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with a foundation in building and operating financial models using Excel.
- Degree qualified in a numerate discipline, with a postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance beneficial.
- Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
