We are currently partnering with a highly successful and rapidly growing business in the commercial renewable energy sector, now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the continued expansion of their commercial division.
Our client is a well-established energy solutions provider that has been operating for 8 years and generates approximately 40 million in annual turnover. As part of their strategic growth, they launched a dedicated commercial division two years ago, which now delivers over 200 installations per year and generates 5 million+ in revenue, with clear plans to double that figure in the near future.

The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at the forefront of commercial solar, battery storage, EV charging, and grid optimisation solutions. The role is based within the commercial division, supporting large-scale, business-to-business energy projects.
You'll work closely with site managers and subcontractors delivering on-site, while also contributing to technical documentation, surveys, and project timelines from the company's Leeds-based HQ.
Previous solar or renewables experience is not essential - full product and sector training will be provided. However, a solid foundation in electrical systems and project delivery is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the electrical delivery of commercial energy projects, including solar PV, battery storage, EV infrastructure, and grid-connected systems
  • Interpret and produce Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and support on-site electrical surveys
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor teams, ensuring delivery meets safety, quality, and budget targets
  • Manage project timelines, technical compliance, and client communication
  • Act as the lead electrical point of contact for ongoing and upcoming projects
  • Support contractors and site staff in delivering effective, safe installations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal project delivery processes


Requirements

  • Strong electrical background with experience in commercial or industrial installations

The Role

  • Lead post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and promoting continuous improvement.



About You

  • Proven project management experience within manufacturing or engineering , ideally involving acoustic enclosures, containers, or similar bespoke fabrications .

  • Experience mentoring or managing project teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach.

  • Strong organisational ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and UK site visits.
