This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Quality professional with a solid understanding of modern welding procedures and inspection techniques. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in quality control within manufacturing or engineering environments. They will also be proactive in promoting a culture of quality and safety within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure the Inspection Test Plans are in-line with the project requirements (ITPs).
- Review documentation, certifications, and calibration of test equipment, meeting both company and contractual standards.
- Review of LTRs / LTQRs (Lifetime Records) and Final certification packages.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain project documentation flow and ensure quality compliance.
- Conduct audits, issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) , and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Collate and keep up to date SQEP files for personnel.
- Facilitate quality-related training and maintain up-to-date records for personnel and approved suppliers.
Skills and qualifications:
- CSWIP 3.1 minimum, Advanced knowledge of modern welding procedures and excellent communication skills with a good eye for detail is essential.
- PCN Level 2 in NDT discipline - MPI (Magnetic Particle Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), RI (Radiographic Interpretation) is desirable
- Proven experience in relevant QA/QC position within Manufacturing, Engineering or Energy sector.

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Wales Quality Control Team, working in partnership with Operations at a shop level to promote adherence to Quality and Safety Management Systems and conduct error investigations.
In this role you will drive Quality improvement and engagement within operational areas, and work with Quality peers, operational teams, and other support functions to assure the highest product Quality standards in accordance with regulatory and customer specific requirements.
The role will require you to promote a Quality culture at a shop floor level, by enhancing shop presence, supporting Quality queries, and conveying Quality metrics for continuous improvement.
The role will require you to conduct error investigations in-line with the Safety and Quality policy to identify root cause(s) and work in partnership with Operations and other support functions to determine permanent preventive actions to prevent future events.

**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Conduct safety critical and engine test failure investigations, identifying true root cause and present out to customers and tech forum as required
+ Promote a Quality culture throughout the business
+ Investigate significantly out of tolerance items for product safety and compliance
+ Participate and present at the Read Across sessions with a mindset of presenting network best practices to the Wales leadership
+ Supporting pro-active and re-active Quality concerns
+ Be the primary focal for customer and regulatory audits in-line with business audit plan
+ Communicate with direct teams, and relevant business leadership on Quality related issues and Quality metrics
+ Work cooperatively with the operational teams to identify systemic quality issues within the business and support in developing robust root cause, corrective and preventive actions
+ Cover Quality Control Leader position as required
+ Participate in the independent review of investigations
+ Support in the development of the Quality Control strategy, focusing on Customer Escapes, local KPIs, HQ requirements etc.
