Business Need / Purpose of Role:
Responsible for performing various inspection tasks within the Company under the instruction of the Inspection Team Leader whilst working with your colleagues in the inspection team to ensure conformance to Company standards, specifications, and drawings.
Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities

- The ability to cover the inspection of products and processes relating to all aspects of quality control with the Company.

- Ensure all quality control measuring equipment is in calibration when used.
- Provide status updates if / when required efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.
- Perform any other duty as reasonably requested by the Inspection Lead and / or UK QHSE Lead to ensure the objectives of Inspection Team and the expectations of the customer are met.

- Work to high standards of quality, within a strong safety culture and a good working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is desirable.
- Fully experienced with all inspection / measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges and hardness checking equipment.
- Fully experienced in reading and understanding Engineering drawings (component and assembly).
- Experience of using a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (manual & CNC) and / or Inspection Arm is desirable.
- Conversant with materials certification.

The Quality Control Inspector will ensure that all Quality standards are achieved for both manufactured and purchased products. Providing the final point of inspection for the products and maintaining reports and performance metrics. Raising quality non-conformance reports (NCR) and supporting the problem resolution process, including Containment, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventative Actions.
The candidate must possess the ability to solve simple problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and perform quality control checks on all incoming product orders, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections across a wide range of furniture items, including cabinetry, upholstery, electrical components, and more.
- Work toward a target of inspecting 10% of all incoming stock, prioritizing according to business needs.
- Use the inbound delivery calendar to effectively plan and manage your daily and weekly workload.
- Identify and schedule products requiring inspection; full support and training will be provided during the onboarding phase.
- Collaborate closely with the workshop and aftersales teams to understand the product history and review past non-conformance reports.
- Maintain the quality control area to a high standard, ensuring cleanliness and organization after each inspection.
- Remove packaging to carry out thorough physical inspections against technical drawings, logging all issues or defects discovered.
- Where necessary, dismantle products for inspection and reassemble them afterward; confidence in using power tools and woodworking equipment is essential.
- Repackage inspected products to match the original presentation and packaging standards.
- Transfer any rejected or non-compliant items to the designated quarantine area within the warehouse.
- Communicate inspection findings and issues clearly and promptly to the relevant internal departments.
- Occasionally travel within the UK and internationally to conduct supplier inspections or quality assessments.
- Meet deadlines and key performance indicators (KPIs) while remaining adaptable to shifting priorities or urgent tasks.
- Perform additional duties related to quality inspection and control, as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with a furniture manufacturer or supplier, ideally in a hands-on environment.
- Proven track record in quality control or inspection within the furniture industry.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of materials and product types, including upholstery and cabinetry. Experience with electrical components is a plus, though not essential.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Excellent IT skills with competent use of Microsoft Office (mainly Outlook and Excel).
- Confident and experienced in using power tools and hand tools, with practical skills in dismantling, assembling, and working on furniture in a workshop setting.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and dismantling furniture. (Manual handling training will be provided.)

Small established aerospace precision engineering company have a opportunity for a PC-Dmis trained CMM programmer to join the team. This is a varied and busy role and will involve completing FAIRs and other aspects of Mechanical Quality inspection for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure complex parts and assemblies utilising PC-DMIS software.
- Conduct thorough inspections of parts, components, and assemblies to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Create, review, and interpret detailed inspection reports using High QA software for Fairs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality assurance to resolve quality issues and enhance process improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection processes, results, and corrective actions for audits and quality assurance programs.
- Ensure all measuring equipment and tools are accurately calibrated and maintained.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer with proficiency in PC-DMIS software.
