The Quality Auditor will be a key team player. To assist the Quality Manager with the responsibility of Quality and Food Safety management systems.,

Key Responsibilities Quality Auditor:

  • Complete monthly KPI reports, summarising issues and trends
  • li>Daily monitoring of product quality
  • Assisting with the TACCP/VACCP systems
  • Managing the internal audit schedule, chasing up outstanding audits, logging non-conformances and chasing completion of actions raised
  • Active HACCP team member, and able to complete tasks on the site’s HACCP system
  • < i>Completing internal audits
  • Monitoring of internal non-conformances ensuring that they are completed with effective corrective actions
  • Assist training of staff in procedures
  • Checking artwork against approved specifications
  • Log and communicate concession requests
  • Trend concessions and report trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly
  • Trend non-conformances and report trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly
  • Challenge traceability from raw material receipt to dispatch of finished product, including completing mass balance exercises and managing the traceability schedule
  • Complete pre-launch document checks and handover products to production
  • Attend trials and report back any concerns to Technical team
  • Investigate customer complaints and work collaboratively with production to identify root cause
  • Investigate foreign body finds
  • Manage calibration of equipment
  • Complete ad hoc tasks issued by Technical Manager

Main Purpose of the Job

Key Responsibilities and Main Tasks

  • Make suggestions and follow through with improvements to deliver reliable and quality products and services.
  • Collect, compile, and analyse data continuously and visualize trends to identify areas for reliability and quality improvement; initiating and facilitating actions to implement improvements effectively using problem-solving techniques (8D, 5Why, etc.).
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of QMS, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards adopted by the company.
  • Formulate, develop, and promote policies, processes, procedures, objectives, and measures for the continued operation of QMS (e.g., Quality & Environment).
  • Assist relevant departments in writing standardised work instructions for company processes and procedures.
  • Organise and conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Collate and deliver performance data as part of the QMS review to senior management.
  • Identify training needs and implement company-wide compliance training.
  • Train and coach staff regarding quality and environment functions.
  • Establish quality contracts with customers and suppliers.
  • Act as liaison, host, and company representative for external auditing bodies related to Quality & Environment functions.
  • Work with supply chain to assess new suppliers and monitor existing suppliers for better quality production materials.
  • Contribute to and undertake Quality Gate Reviews for the introduction of any new product.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to perform reliability testing on new products.
  • Develop inspection standards for production materials and acceptance of certificates of conformity.
  • Manage customer complaints, RMAs, and corrective/preventative actions for field issues.
  • Prevent recurrence of major quality problems.
  • Carry out additional tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of quality improvement, problem-solving, and analysis techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with all company areas and external bodies.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and statistical analysis, including data collection and management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and critical/logical thinking abilities.
  • Teamwork, collaboration, and facilitation skills to resolve issues and lead continuous quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of electronic component reliability and failure mechanisms is highly desirable

What you'll be doing:
In the role of Quality Auditor, you will be required to verify that raw material preparation, manufacturing production and product storage/distribution is compliant with food safety, legal and customers' quality standards.
  • Sample, test, and monitor to verify that all raw materials are being supplied in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Assist in traceability requests.
  • Complete routine micro sampling by collecting all relevant samples, adhering to procedures and protocols, to ensure the quality, safety, and legality of the products sampled.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks on ambient materials.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manage rejections and non-conformances.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with the operations team and other relevant functions ensuring they are fully aware of quality assurance activities, results and trends Complete all necessary documentation, ensuring it is accurate and ready for internal and external audits.
  • Provide cover for holidays and sickness within the team and provide education and training to operational colleagues and other teams to ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards
