Quality Control Supervisor

Location: Talacre, Wales

Contract Type: Contractor role, full time, up to 5.5 days per week

Status: Outside IR35

Start Date: As soon as a successful candidate is identified


About the Role

As Civil QC Supervisor, you will report to the Quality Control Manager and supervise a team of 4–5 inspectors. You will play a key role in ensuring that all civil activities are executed in compliance with the approved Quality Control Plans, supporting the successful delivery of the ENI Liverpool Bay Project.

This role involves close coordination with the client, daily oversight of inspection activities, and ensuring that all quality documentation, procedures, and records meet project and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and witness inspections, ensuring correct implementation of approved Quality Control Plans.
  • Review and verify inspection reports, documentation, and quality records, including those from subcontracted activities.
  • Oversee preparation of the Quality Works Dossier for final handover to the Document Controller.
  • Check the availability, adequacy, and calibration of consumables, materials, and equipment used for civil execution and control.
  • Verify that materials and equipment are correctly received, identified, traceable, and stored.
  • Support the definition and application of QC Information System rules.
  • Evaluate and verify the qualification of inspection personnel and review work procedures, including those relating to special processes.
  • Ensure the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) management process is in place and effective.
  • Confirm that tests, controls, and inspections are carried out according to QC Plans and ITPs, and that relevant documentation is collected for mechanical completion approval.
  • Liaise daily with the client to ensure quality objectives are achieved and maintained.


Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years as a QC Supervisor and 15 years in QC activities within the Oil & Gas industry or similar sectors.

Education:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Certification:

  • ISO 9001:2015 qualification required.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong background in Quality Control inspection and documentation for civil works.

IT Skills:

  • Proficient in MS365 and familiar with digital quality management systems.
