Job Description
Kepak McIntosh Donald are a globally recognised brand and the largest red meat producer in Scotland; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
Kepak McIntosh Donal d are looking for Quality Control Operatives to join our team and provide a vital support service to the assigned production area by ensuring all product complies with required customer specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Working pattern: 40h/week, Monday to Friday, 6am start (need to be flexible with finish time)
Pay Rate: starting from £11.44/h
Role duties:
- Monitor and verify product to ensure compliance to relevant customer specifications through daily check lists, such as: temperature, contamination, labels, weight, packaging etc.
- Monitor and verify that all produced product is within the customer specifications/SOP’s, and within the limits and defined criteria set out in the relevant specifications, such as: weight, eye height, fat colour, dimensions, marbling etc.
- Identify and work with production to correct defects in products.
- Inform and guide production operatives on food safety and customer specifications.
- Collect product samples as required / instructed.
- Participate as required in internal and/or external audits.
- Maintain accurate and legible documented records.
- Any other duties as requested by management and within the competency of the post holder.
