The Role

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated professional Regional Peripatetic Radiology Manager to join Ramsay Healthcare UK. The regional Peripatetic Manager will support Hospital Radiology Departments in the management, clinical duties, and compliance to all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include implementing new systems, standardising reporting and MI and advancing the use of technology across services. This position demands a dynamic approach, requiring adaptability to varied healthcare settings and the ability to foster strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams. You will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of patient care and service delivery, ensuring a seamless integration between hospital-based and mobile diagnostic services.

This role will be homebased, with the expectation to travel to Hospital Sites as required.

What you’ll do

• Support New Radiology Managers induction

• Provide clinical and managerial expertise as required, on site

• Support compliance of IRMER/IRR17 across Hospital Sites and Mobile Diagnostics

• Support CQC Inspections on site, as required

• Support RPA Audit and assist with action plans creation and implementation

• Cover Clinical Duties both on Mobiles and Hospital sites

• Liaise effectively with Senior Leadership Team on site at all Hospital and Diagnostic SLT

• Support QSI accreditation

• Produce Monthly Reports for their region

• Support and assist Radiology Manager with any investigations for incidents/complaints as required

• Training of staff/standardisation of practices

This role involves standardising KPI reporting, serving as the primary trainer for RIS/PACS solutions, and supporting the implementation of new functionality at various sites. Management and reporting of waiting lists and overseeing all diagnostic waiting times across hospitals.

Royal Sussex County Hospital - Imaging Department

The opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 3 HCA to join our friendly team in the Interventional Radiology Department in Imaging.

You will be required to assist qualified nurses, radiographers and radiologists in giving a high standard of quality care to our patients and will support the team in the smooth running of the department. You will be required to work as part of the multidisciplinary team, maintaining a professional and caring manner.

You must be experienced in hospital based patient care.

It is desirable to have experience of surgical or theatre specialities.

Candidate Information Pack :

To support the Health Care Assistant and Nurse team by supervising the safe deployment of staff and co-ordinating clinics by using excellent communication skills, liaising with multidisciplinary teams.

To assist inpatient and day case patients and radiologists during interventional ultrasound guidance procedures such as liver biopsy, ascitic drainage, etc.

To assist radiologists and advanced practitioner radiographers during fluoroscopy procedures, ensuring smooth running of the lists, care and preparation of the patients, liaison with wards, preparation of the room and tidying and appropriate cleaning after procedures.

Correctly identifying and preparing patients for the range of invasive procedures

Implement patient safety checks before invasive procedures to ensure the correct preparation of patients prior to their procedure. i.e. checking blood results, fasting status, baseline observations, clotting profiles and relevant medical history

To escalate anomalies from the safety checks promptly to the radiologist or registered nurse in order to enable timely correction or re-scheduling of procedure

To accurately monitor and record a patients vital signs post procedure, checking and documenting vital signs to Trust standard and reporting anomalies to a registered nurse or radiologist

Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from imaging procedures, caring for them physically with attention to activities such as intake of food and drink, toileting, getting dressed and assisted mobility
