A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Document Control Manager to join a key infrastructure project at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest and most ambitious nuclear developments.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Document Control and Records Configuration Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of project requirements through effective project information management. You will ensure all project documentation is maintained with full traceability and control throughout the project lifecycle and the operational life of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the electronic document management system (EDMS) and ensure automation of document controls
Maintain full traceability and control of project records, including LTQR (Long-Term Quality Records)
Apply metadata schemas and maintain high standards of document accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with project teams to support document control requirements and audits
Ensure document control processes meet project and regulatory standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience working with EDMS automation systems and control of LTQR records
Excellent IT skills with strong experience in electronic document management systems and metadata application
Previous experience working on major infrastructure or nuclear projects is highly desirable

Administrator / Document Controller. Working on residential construction sites for a very well-respected contractor. Good communication & organisational skills. Woolwich/Greenwich. 29k - 33k plus PAYE package. Good oral and written English communication & organisational skills. Excellent growth potential to develop and become more involved in the construction elements.
Administrator / Document Controller working with the Project team, carrying out all administration and clerical duties including Document downloads, weekly report compilation, arranging inductions, typing up QA reports, verifying CSCS cards, copying, and filing. Good office and Excel skills needed. Versatile role with a wide range of potential work. Strong written and oral English language communication skills are essential. Previous construction site experience on large residential schemes would be an advantage for this role.
Administration / Document Controller role. This is a site-based role so ideally with experience of what is entailed in working on a live construction project. Scope of site activities may include demolition, site clearance, both new build and cut & carve works involving RC and steel structures on a scheme in Woolwich on a large residential project. You will report to the Project Manager and collate information from the site team. 150 new build units on a new development.
Your duties include:
- Downloading documents (ideally able to use different Electronic Document Systems), copying, and updating them, issuing to the relevant contractors and sub-contractors
- Monitoring all Electronic documents, workflow, and communication of information, properly log and save all incoming documents for the Projects.
- Ensuring all documentation is controlled, registered, and recorded
- Working alongside the Project Manager, assisting when needed with the document distribution, making files, searching for missing information.
- Arranging inductions and verifying CSCS cards.
- Maintaining site lists. Taking site record photos to record activities and progress.
- Involvement with gathering the information for the Project Manager
- Keeping a record of the documentation and distribution.
- Updating and verifying workers certificates and documentation.
- Record keeping for firestopping.
Salary and details:
- Salary 29,000 to 33,000 based on experience.
- Working hours will be (Apply online only) Monday to Friday.
- 20 days hols + bank holidays.

Role Overview:
Under broad direction, oversees and performs the full range of activities with associated with document management work on a Project. Coordinate execution of the document management plan incorporating contractual requirements of the assigned Project. Guides and supervises personnel in the setup and execution of document management processes and systems. Collaborates within the department, and the Client and customer, to ensure work processes are aligned with project processes and contractual requirements. Ensure document management deliverables are understood and delivered to contract, quality and schedule requirements, as well being responsible for measurable assets such as budgets, equipment, and staffing.
Key Activities:
- Implement and execute the Document Management strategy and plan in support of the scope of work and the specific project needs and goals.
- Accountable for the success of the Document Management activities and deliverables in accordance with the agreed schedules, milestone and cost, focused at aiding project goals and objectives.
- Effective management of Document Management supply chain activities that ensure delivery of cost-effective services to the agreed scope of work.
- Communicate/liaison with Project Management & Team, Client and Sub-Contractors effectively and resolve problems & issues relating to documentation, information and data.
- Proficient in Engineering Document distribution management.
- Proficient in Supplier Document distribution management.
- Define and develop Project Document reports and statistics.

- Understand limitations of the systems and adopt suggest necessary changes to work practices and works with IM/DM manager the database administrators to improve the service.
- Production and update of Master Document Register.
- Manage development and update of Distribution Matrix
- Production and update of Supplier SDRL/SDLs within Project EDMS
- Operate Document Request for Release process.
- Contribute to the development and training of global document management personnel.
Experience/Technical Skills
- University degree qualification or equivalent oil and gas industry experience.
- 6-10 years of experience in the process plant industry Document Management or related industry (5 of which at supervisory level).
- Knowledge of EDMS systems & Electronic Document Imaging Technology (Documentum/IPMS - advantage) and computer technology.
- Knowledge of SharePoint an advantage
- Knowledge of Information Management systems and Philosophies an advantage.
- Knowledge of process plant documentation.
- Good communicator and motivator.
- Development of procedures and work processes.
- Awareness of Regulatory Authorities requirements.
Personal Qualities
- Must be a good communicator, confident, assertive, self-motivated, a team leader, goal orientated, innovative, and proactive & forward looking.
- Must be able to accept responsibility and understanding accountability.
- Able to identify & facilitate the effective resolution of problems, making optimal use of available resources.
