We are seeking a Regional Support Manager to oversee our homes in the Midlands. The majority of our nursing home will be in Birmingham so ideally someone who lives commutable to Birmingham.

This role will focus on the Quality and Clinical Governance aspect. You will be a key member of the Quality team where you will identify problems within the services and plan and execute position change.

You will provide support to the General Managers within the homes as the Regional Support Manager,.

This is an exciting opportunity for Home Managers who have actively looking for a step up within their Career and ready to have a multi-site role within the senior team.

Main Responsibilities as a Regional Support Manager:

To provide focus and support in key homes as directed, ensuring appropriate compliance to standards, reporting and care delivery. Supporting the Home Managers with completing specific projects as directed which may include budget performance, quality performance, recruitment. Assisting the Home Manager / Regional Director in the effective marketing of the homes by providing support with marketing plans and undertaking competitor analysis.

You must be for a Regional Support Manager::

  • Management experience within elderly nursing care homes;
  • Turnaround/ Service Improvement experience
  • Ideally a nurse but will consider a non nurse; in the
  • Worked in a Care Home with Good CQC;
  • Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services;
  • Experienced in working in the healthcare sector;
  • Driven and motivated and believe in quality care;
  • An energetic, committed and approachable manager;

Regional Support Official – The Role:

We are looking for a Regional Support Official to join our West Midlands team. Reporting to the Regional Official, West Midlands Region, your main duties will be:

- Assisting with securing and maintaining recognition of UCU in the designated area

- Conducting and supporting negotiations with employing institutions in accordance with nationally and locally agreed bargaining objectives

- Contributing to the organisation and effective delivery of regional training in accordance with the national training programme

- Engaging in and organising regional and local campaigning activities in accordance with national/regional campaigning objectives

- Deputising for the Regional Official as necessary

Regional Support Official – You:

- The ideal candidate must be educated to GCSE level (inc. maths & English) or equivalent

- The post would suit someone with experience of a similar working environment and/or understanding of working for a trade union or other not-for-profit organisation

- You will need a good knowledge of the post-compulsory education sector; a working knowledge and understanding of employment law, as well as trade union organising experience

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Regional Support manager to join us in leading our Community across Hampshire Region. This is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people! A Regional Support Manager is responsible for providing support to all operational managers, teams and colleagues. They will take a lead in coaching and guiding operational teams and colleagues based on business demands in both regulated and non-regulated services. They will closely support their Operation Manager to ensure services in their portfolio are delivering excellent quality care to the People We Support (PWS) with a focus of continuous improvement and commercial success. They will be required to assist or manage any service that requires support, and this may include working flexibly across a 7-day period, varying shift times, plus overnight stays. They will be responsible for ensuring services are fully competent in using office management systems, adhering to policies and procedures, and understanding their relevant Local Authority/Safeguarding/CCG/NHS as well as other customers contractual requirements. They need to ensure they lead by example and all teams they support are performing their daily duties to a high standard whilst promoting our ETHOS values in everything they do. In the absence of a Registered Manager, being directly responsible and accountable for service compliance in line the requirements of the regulatory body and all other duties covered in the Registered Managers job description. This may also include registering with the regulatory body as the Registered Manager when required. Managers will also be responsible for delivering the quality, financial, health and safety, regulatory requirements of a specified geographical area of Voyage Care services within the South West region.
