Job Description:As the Sr. Risk Manager for High Severity Incidents (HSI), you will support scaling our program world-wide as well as support incident management and risk mitigation. You will provide world-class empathetic experiences to support internal and external stakeholders after an incident. In this role, you will deep dive incidents, driving accountability across the organization and generating insights that will mitigate risk and improve safety programs.
This is a large-scale, rapid response coordination program designed to ensure timely and thorough management of the highest severity incidents that affect any of our Last Mile drivers, customers, or community members. We investigate and handle the most sensitive of tragedies with professionalism and care, and coordinate the process of response through thoughtful communication with all involved, including the most senior leaders at Amazon. You will be responsible for the experience of our customers and community members during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
The role requires a leader who is connected to the details, advocates for customers, leads with empathy, and can effectively influence senior leaders. They will possess a detailed understanding of how to balance speed with evidence gathering and be able to champion customer trust. The leader will dive into team workflows and create efficiencies to scale and lead processes improvements, as well as identify risks and key contributing factors to high severity incidents. They will assess risk and partner across the organization to drive risk mitigation strategies and incident prevention solutions.
A successful candidate will possess high emotional intelligence and the capacity to provide support in emotionally charged situations. This includes the ability to remain composed, empathetic, and supportive when dealing with individuals affected by a tragic incident. The candidate should embrace ambiguity and drive clarity across teams and organizations. This role requires strong relationship building skills and sound business judgment. They will be an excellent communicator, verbally and through writing, enabling them to work successfully with diverse audiences. Balancing time between projects and rapid response is a critical component for success in the position. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytic skills, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
This role is required to participate in an on-call rotation to lead rapid response activities. Emotional intelligence and experience supporting crisis, incident management or trauma strongly preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor exception management processes related to MiFIR/D trade and transaction reporting.
- Analyse and remediate data validation and reconciliation exceptions submitted to National Competent Authorities (e.g., FCA, CBI, BaFin).
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Compliance to ensure strong governance and proactive issue resolution.
- Support UAT and implementation of enhancements to reporting systems and controls.
- Partner with Change Management and QA teams to ensure thorough documentation, testing, and resolution of issues.
- Liaise extensively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency across reporting processes.
Essential Criteria

Responsibilities:
As one of our key team members you will work closely with our Project Managers and Engineering Team and you will build upon your past-experience to:
- Lead a portfolio of client-facing implementation projects, defining business requirements (new products, new regulations etc) and supporting clients with data mapping to the FIRE data schema
- Be the subject matter expert in one family of regulatory reports and stay updated on regulatory changes liaising with clients and other experts in the industry.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the construction and update of a family of regulatory returns in partnership with our Lead Engineers.

Requirements
- An ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex regulatory rules (e.g. CRR / IFR in Europe) with experience in at least one of the main reporting areas: capital, liquidity, leverage, balance sheet, credit risk, market risk etc.
- At least 3 years of experience in regulatory reporting at a regulated firm or as a consultant
- Deep banking product understanding (Loans, Securities, Derivatives, etc.)
- High proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Good experience working with financial data, data mapping and analysis.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role – can be either external or internal stakeholders.

- Good understanding of the Treasury ALM framework.
- Working knowledge of financial services industry, particularly capital markets
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential, with basic understanding of Power BI. Comfortable working with large volumes of data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Skills / Experience:
- Experience in SME and Broker environments is ideal.
