  • Perform detailed geotechnical analysis, including slope stability, settlement, and bearing capacity assessments.
  • Design foundations for wind turbines, solar arrays, substations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Develop geotechnical reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Oversee site investigations, including drilling, testing, and monitoring.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geotechnical engineers.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for geotechnical hazards.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative solutions in geotechnical engineering for the energy sector.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in foundation design for large-scale structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (wind, solar) and their associated geotechnical challenges.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoSlope suite).
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and travel as required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to technical excellence.
