Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Manager role

Reporting to Senior Management you will:

  • Manage all maintenance activities across the site
  • Maintain all plant as per policy and procedures
  • Managing Technicians and Operators in the absence of the Plant Manager when required
  • Implement and manage a robust, yet simple reactive and planned maintenance program in line with the Group policies
  • Being hands on in maintaining process plant, mechanical equipment as well as gas and fluid processing equipment
  • Help to develop and mentor junior members of staff, ensuring development plans exist
  • Report on maintenance KPIs to upper management
  • Complete on call duties as required
  • Complete job close-out reports and commissioning of projects and remedial works to assets
  • Managing the CMMS
  • Oversee the department's procurement, ensuring spares are ready when required
  • Ensuring department budgets are kept under control
  • Other duties as required and full job spec available on request

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Higher education, ideally NVQ 4 minimum, in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Electrical qualifications would be a bonus
  • Minimum 5 years in a maintenance / engineering role
  • Demonstrable management experience
  • Full UK driving licence
