Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, permitting, financing, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, consultants, and legal advisors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, safety, and planning regulations.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, grid operators, and investors.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or equivalent).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex energy infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development lifecycles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation, procurement, and construction management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and financial modeling.
- Ability to analyze technical and commercial issues and make sound decisions.
- Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
- Experience working within the UK energy market is highly desirable.

We're partnered exclusively with them to recruit a Maintenance Manager to be based from their site in the North East and to manage maintenance activities across the site, bleeding good habits and practices into others.
This Maintenance Manager comes with a salary between 60,000 - 65,000 as well as an extensive benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Manager role
Reporting to Senior Management you will:
- Manage all maintenance activities across the site
- Maintain all plant as per policy and procedures
- Managing Technicians and Operators in the absence of the Plant Manager when required
- Implement and manage a robust, yet simple reactive and planned maintenance program in line with the Group policies
- Being hands on in maintaining process plant, mechanical equipment as well as gas and fluid processing equipment
- Help to develop and mentor junior members of staff, ensuring development plans exist
- Report on maintenance KPIs to upper management
- Complete on call duties as required
- Complete job close-out reports and commissioning of projects and remedial works to assets
- Managing the CMMS
- Oversee the department's procurement, ensuring spares are ready when required
- Ensuring department budgets are kept under control
- Other duties as required and full job spec available on request
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Higher education, ideally NVQ 4 minimum, in mechanical engineering or similar
- Electrical qualifications would be a bonus
- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance / engineering role
- Demonstrable management experience
- Full UK driving licence

- Willing to roll their sleeves up and lead from the front
- Has been in the anaerobic digestion sector (or waste management) before
