We are currently recruiting for a Repair Technician to join a well-established engineering and repair business based in Wellingborough . This is a hands-on technical role, focusing on the testing, diagnosis, and repair of customer-returned mobile devices and other electronics, ensuring all products meet the required quality standards before being returned to customers.

Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: 28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Duties:

  • Test devices to relevant procedures and specifications using the appropriate software and configurations
  • Diagnose faults on customer-returned devices in line with procedures and guidelines
  • Repair products to the required standard, ensuring quality compliance at all stages
  • Disassemble, reassemble, clean, and prepare customer field returns
  • Accurately document all repairs in internal databases
  • Identify and escalate process, quality, and performance issues promptly
  • Provide technical feedback to Engineering and Management teams
  • Operate and maintain department test equipment
  • Provide support to other areas of the business when required

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have technician-level experience in a production, repair, or electronics environment

We are looking for an experienced service technician to join the in-house Service Department.
