Our client, a pioneering biomedical research organization, is actively seeking a Remote Senior Research Scientist with extensive experience in Genomics and Data Analysis to join their globally distributed research team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead sophisticated genomic research projects and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in human health. You will be responsible for designing and executing complex genomic experiments, developing and applying advanced bioinformatic pipelines, and interpreting large-scale genomic datasets to identify disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a closely related field, supported by a strong publication record and demonstrated success in leading research initiatives. Expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, variant calling, gene expression analysis, epigenomics, and statistical genetics is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, coupled with experience in using bioinformatics tools and managing large datasets, is required. As a senior remote scientist, you will mentor junior researchers, manage project timelines, and effectively communicate research findings through publications and presentations. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical for this role, enabling you to collaborate seamlessly with a diverse, remote scientific community. You must be a highly motivated, independent researcher with a passion for advancing genomic science and improving patient outcomes.

- Design and implement genomic studies using various high-throughput sequencing technologies.
- Develop, optimize, and apply bioinformatics pipelines for genomic data analysis.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of large-scale genomic datasets (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq).
- Identify genetic variants, gene expression patterns, and regulatory elements associated with disease.
- Collaborate with clinicians and experimental biologists to translate findings into biological insights.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to team development.
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present research at scientific conferences.
- Manage research projects, including timelines, resources, and data management.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.
- PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Significant postdoctoral or industry experience in genomics research.
- Proven experience in leading research projects and mentoring staff.
- Expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical genetics and bioinformatics software/tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Experience with variant calling, gene expression analysis, and epigenomic data.
- Excellent scientific writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
