CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Outcomes Research Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 9 months, working hybrid in Welwyn Garden city.
Salary:
Per Hour: £55.96-£7.16 PAYE or 5- 0 Ltd/ Umbrella – this role is outside IR35
Senior Outcomes Research Scientist Role:
- Development, strategic execution & implementation of patient-centered fit-for purpose measurement strategies throughout the drug development lifecycle.
- Collaborating with data science experts on study start-up, monitoring & close out.
- Assess the need to develop, evaluate, & deploy new measurement tools to best capture the patient experience
- Provide subject matter expertise areas of clinical trial delivery such as measurement/digital strategy, linguistic validation, eCOA, site & patient engagement related to COAs.
Your Background :
- An MSc in Public Health, Psychology, or a related area (PhD preferred), or equivalent experience.
- Previous hands-on experience in developing & implementing patient-centered measurement strategies, & in the planning, execution & dissemination of patient-centered evidence.
- Previous experience with COAs (Clinical outcome assessments) and PROs (patient-reported outcomes).
- Direct experience in neuromuscular diseases or a strong interest in working in this area/

We design and deliver complete drug development programmes from inception through to and including Phase II clinical studies. RxBiologics has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated scientist to join us and help develop our services to support our growing client base. The position is based within the RxBiologics team, working at the Babraham Research Campus, a leading site within the Cambridge biotechnology hub.
The Role
The successful candidate will join our team of scientists supporting client antibody drug discovery programmes and internal technical development. They will primarily perform experiments to support antibody isolation projects, utilising molecular biology techniques, phage display selections and antibody characterisation assays but will additionally provide support in other areas as required. A strong interest in antibody drug discovery, proactive approach and drive to learn new skills is key for this position. RxBiologics will provide practical training in antibody discovery processes and techniques. This is a full-time lab-based role, and the candidate will report into a senior member of the team.
Main Responsibilities
• Performing antibody phage display selections and screening to support internal and external programmes.

• Ski led in molecular biology and microbiological techniques such as PCR, cloning, gel electrophoresis, DNA sequence analysis and aseptic cell culture.
• E perience of plate-based assays e.g. ELISA, and/or homogeneous assay formats.
• A working knowledge of antibody discovery processes, with phage display an advantage.
• P actical mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry experience is an advantage.
• D monstrated ability to plan, conduct and analyse experimental work to a high standard.

SLB Cambridge Research (SCR) is part of SLB's global network of research and engineering centres. **Job Summary:**
We are seeking a creative self-motivated research scientist to develop models for multiphase fluid flow. The job will require experience in first-principle and numerical modelling approaches and working with experimentalists and domain experts. In this role you will work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and engage with business and engineering teams to ensure their solutions have a significant impact.
**Typical Responsibilities and Duties:**
+ Work in modelling multiphase fluid flow (gas, liquid, and solid flow physics)
+ Work with experimentalists and domain experts to build and validate models and concepts using experimental or field data
+ Engage and collaborate with SLB technical community
+ Ability to develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems, and articulate them to the technology team and management
+ Publish scientific papers, write patent applications and attend conferences
**Qualifications:**
+ PhD in Fluid Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
+ Expertise in first-principle modelling approaches to Multiphase Flow Dynamics (Gas, Liquid, and Solid Flow physics)
+ Knowledge of multiphase flows CFD software (e.g., Ansys, OpenFoam, COMSOL)
+ Programming experience is highly desirable
+ Experience in building and validating reduced-order models from high-fidelity simulations is highly desirable
+ Relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals are desirable
