Are you an experienced Resource Planning Analyst looking for a brand-new opportunity?

If you have 1-2 years of workforce management experience, generating contact case volume forecasts, projecting staffing levels and determining optimal schedule patterns for a contact centre operation then you would be a great fit for this new role.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's largest, well-known brands and one of the most active sports sponsors in the UK. The business is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences across their retail stores and online platform. This role will be pivotal in ensuring optimal staffing to handle forecasted contact and case volumes within agreed KPI's across the Central Operations Team.

This is an office-based role, working Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure suitable resource allocation to allow for the right skills and capabilities to be utilised to support in delivering a best-in-class service to customers.
  • Analysing contact and case volume trends, determining if and how various business initiatives may impact that volume.
  • Determining staff requirements and required schedule patterns.
  • Developing reports that provide insight into the central operations team's performance reports as well as intermediate level analysis.
  • Generating and modifying the schedules across the central operational teams to ensure coverage and optimal service levels.
  • Identifying potential gaps in scheduled coverage and presenting recommendations to the management team.
  • Working with management to schedule 'offline' time including but not limited to meetings, training coaching's, etc.
  • Monitoring contact volume and determining if actual volume is coming in under or above forecast.
  • Manage scheduled activity in the operational teams to ensure appropriate coverage is scheduled to achieve the optimal service level touch points informing management of performance and activity throughout the day.
  • Ensure data integrity within the WFM system.
  • Capture, store and report on historical statistics.
  • Complete additional ad-hoc reporting queries.
  • Run and maintain payroll reports where applicable.

Experience and Skills:

  • 1-2 years of Workforce Management experience using WFM software
  • 1-2 years of Excel experience with Intermediate knowledge of formula definitions
  • 1-2 years of Data Analysis experience capturing, storing and reporting historical statistics (call volumes, AHT, service level, forecast accuracy, etc)
  • 2-3 years working in a Call Centre environment (experience of working in a 75+ seat contact centre during that time)
  • Must have strong mathematical and statistical skillset to maintain accurate data reporting
  • Must have data analysis experience capturing, storing and reporting historical statistics

About the team  

The Resource Planning team sit within our Customer care department and are responsible for maintaining the workforce management system, which plays a crucial role in the delivery of our plans to provide our customers with a best in class service. Working closely with the wider operation and Planning analysts, the team works to ensure that all change activity can be carried out efficiently, and with minimal disruption to our customers.  

About the role  

The Resource Planning Analyst role is focused on building resource plans for all Lines of Business (LOBs) within customer care. The team is responsible for contact demand and resource supply forecasts. The team ensures optimal resource provision to meet our customer and business targets. This is a great opportunity to be part of a central planning function within a well-established customer care team.  

  • Maintaining volume and productivity forecasts, responding to trends and variations, to understand our contact centre demand. 
  • Use of resource planning models to convert demand into accurate resource requirement. 
  • Maintaining and updating resource supply forecasts, including attrition and shrinkages, to ensure resource provision is aligned to requirement. 
  • Production of detailed, interval level, resource plans delivered 1-2 weeks in advance. 
  • Identification of gaps and surpluses in resource provision in our plans, to facilitate remedy and corrective action. 
  • Feedback into longer range capacity planning. Facilitate improvements to the accuracy of our estate capacity. 
  • Regular review of recruitment plans to support longer term resource provision. 
  • Regular review of skills matrix to recommend resource moves across LOB’s when advantageous to customer and business outcomes. 
  • Stakeholder management with all operational leaders and teams. 
  • Identifying opportunities and improvements within the Workforce Management and planning systems.  
  • Regular feedback in to Senior Leaders, Ops Control and Operational teams to help improve the accurate delivery of plans and performance. 
About you   
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with all levels  
  • WFM experience, track record of managing technologies, experienced in adoption of best practice methodologies across Contact Centre environments  
  • Numerically astute with ability to analyse and interrupt data   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels within Customer Care.  
  • Ability to prioritize own workload to meet deadlines.  
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

THE HEADLINES:

Title: Project Coordinator (Town Planning)

Experience required: 4+ Years

Salary: Up to £40,000-£55,000 (+ discretionary bonus) DOE.

Location: Central London

Hybrid working: Yes (2 days WFH / 3 days in-office)

WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR:

Our client is looking for someone who can co-ordinate Infrastructure Planning matters within an established and esteemed team working on some of the most significant projects across the UK. They are looking for someone ideally with exposure to Town Planning matters/teams, although a background in wider development could also work. This will require excellent technical organisational and administrative skills. This happens to be the first appointment of it's kind in the business, so there are lots of opportunities to carve out a special role.

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a number of project controls consultants to support a major water and utilities programme based in Warrington.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Consultants to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, including scheduling, cost management, risk analysis, and performance monitoring, ideally in large-scale projects across a variety of industries (e.g utilities, infrastructure etc.). The Project Controls Consultants will work closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Controls Management : Lead the development and implementation of project control systems and processes, including scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and risk management.
  • Schedule Management : Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Ensure the timely completion of milestones and deadlines.
  • Cost Management : Monitor and report on project budgets, including the tracking of costs, change orders, and forecasts. Work with project teams to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues impacting project performance. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and provide guidance on how to handle emerging project challenges.
  • Reporting & Documentation : Prepare and present regular project performance reports to senior leadership and clients, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about project progress, risks, and financial health.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Act as a liaison between project teams, contractors, and clients, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed about project requirements, timelines, and issues.
  • Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve project controls processes, recommending best practices to optimize project execution and delivery.
  • Team Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project controls staff, fostering an environment of learning and development within the team.


Must-Haves:

  • Strong experience in project controls, planning, or cost engineering roles within infrastructure, energy, or construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools.
  • Excellent understanding of cost management, change control, and risk management principles.
  • Working knowledge of earned value management (EVM) processes and techniques.
  • Familiarity with project governance and assurance processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.


My profile


Desirable:

  • Degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APM, PMI, PRINCE2, or AACE International).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, or Safran.
  • Experience working on high-value, large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
