Our client, a leading and rapidly expanding food service supplier, is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is fully remote , with a focus on cultivating and securing high-value contracts within the hospitality sector across Scotland. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders in restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and institutional clients, and driving significant revenue growth. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional sales acumen, a deep understanding of the food service industry, and a proven ability to close complex deals.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve ambitious sales targets within the food service sector.
- Identify, prospect, and engage with potential new clients across various segments of the hospitality industry.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs of prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close complex contracts, ensuring favorable terms and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with the operations, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
- Manage a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Continuously seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell existing and new product lines to existing clients.
- Provide market feedback to inform product development and strategic planning.
- Mentor and guide junior business development team members remotely.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in business development or sales management, with a significant focus on the food service or hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and securing large-scale contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of the food service supply chain and current industry trends.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a proven capacity to build rapport with senior-level contacts.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales management tools.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events (within Scotland).
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
