Role Overview

We support the exploration and development of new business opportunities, contribute to the creation of offers, build collaboration and supplier contacts, and help deliver strategic projects. Together, we combine commercial and technical expertise to achieve BP’s growth objectives!

This role covers around 50 sites across three areas: the North, Scotland East, and Scotland West. Flexibility and regular travel across these regions are required!

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with field leaders to provide consistent support and coaching to store managers and teams, ensuring strong retail operations across key pillars.
  • Continuously improve ways of working by flexing between training, coaching, supporting, and leading.
  • Use data and insights to identify priorities, opportunities, and trends, and turn them into clear actions through effective tools, reporting, and communication.
  • Support safe, profitable, and customer‑focused operations while helping to lead change and growth.
  • Build the capability of store managers through timely coaching, guidance, and training.
  • Encourage a culture of willingness, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure new processes, projects, and activities are communicated and implemented consistently across stores and the field.
  • Collaborate with store managers, field leaders, the wider retail operations team, and partners across the business.
  • Provide support beyond designated stores when required, including ownership of specific projects or activities.
  • Be available to assist in emergency or critical situations.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the business.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record of customer‑focused delivery and development, ideally including team leadership.
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a fast‑paced convenience or FMCG environment.
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and inspire others to deliver strong performance.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret financial and performance data into clear actions.
  • Experience in leading or supporting change initiatives.
  • Self‑motivated and passionate about retail excellence.
  • Communication and influencing skills across multiple levels, including field and central teams, leaders, and store colleagues.

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of the roadside retail industry.
  • Experience leading a retail store team.
  • Previous experience in a field support or coaching role.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the store operations to maximise profitable sales and growth
