The GRC Lead plays a cross-functional leadership role, supporting the Senior Manager, GRC, and taking ownership of key programmes that span our ISMS, controls assurance, risk management, third-party oversight, and regulatory compliance. You’ll engage with stakeholders across InfoSec, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to operationalise governance and build trust.
This is a strategic yet hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in driving governance initiatives, facilitating risk discussions, and ensuring compliance readiness while working closely with Engineering, Security, and Product teams. How will you contribute?- ISMS Governance & Controls Assurance
- Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of Smarsh’s ISO 27001-aligned ISMS.
- Oversee the control assurance programme, ensuring robust evidence collection, control testing, and continuous monitoring.
- Own key internal and external audit workstreams, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP and customer audits.
- Cybersecurity Risk Management
- Drive the risk assessment lifecycle, embedding business, technical, and supply chain risk perspectives.
- Enhance risk methodologies and tools, integrating real-time risk metrics into dashboards and governance forums.
- Support risk acceptance processes and facilitate cross-functional remediation plans.
- Regulatory, Contractual & Client Assurance
- Monitor emerging regulations (e.g. DORA, SEC, UK AI Act) and translate them into actionable internal obligations.
- Manage customer security assessments and DDQs, enabling frictionless trust through reusable assurance artefacts.
- Coordinate timely, high-quality client responses and external assurance artefacts.
- Third-Party & Supply Chain Risk
- Lead third-party security reviews and ensure governance controls are extended across the vendor lifecycle.
- Partner with Procurement and Legal to align contractual security requirements and risk acceptance criteria.
- Policy Governance & Stakeholder Reporting
- Maintain the InfoSec policy lifecycle and track compliance across business units.
- Develop and maintain security governance metrics and reporting for the CISO and wider executive team.
- Support the operation of governance forums and steering committees.
- Security Awareness & Culture
- Deliver targeted security training and awareness campaigns aligned to regulatory and business needs.
- Promote a security-aware culture of governance accountability and enablement across teams.
- GRC Operations & Enablement
- Own and refine core GRC workflows, including documentation, issue tracking, evidence management, and status reporting.
- Maintain and expand GRC tooling integrations, ensuring high-quality automation and reporting outputs.
- 7–10 years’ experience in security governance, risk, or compliance roles within SaaS or regulated industries.
- Strong track record operationalising ISMS frameworks, managing control assurance, and supporting external audits.
- Hands-on experience with GRC platforms, security metrics reporting, and risk assessments.
- Proven ability to work across business, engineering, and legal teams to embed governance effectively.
- Familiarity with modern regulatory landscapes and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA, FedRAMP and SEC Cyber rules.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create executive-level reporting and artifacts.
- Experience leading client assurance programmes or third-party risk management.

Your Role:
As a Senior Risk and Compliance Manager, you will:
- Lead global pay equity and HR compliance programmes, collaborating with teams across the organisation.
- Partner with Legal and internal teams to identify compliance requirements and propose effective business solutions.
- Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
- Dive deep into data to identify trends and validate data quality, transforming complex compliance requirements into actionable solutions.

Who Are We Looking For?
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, equal employment/pay equity compliance, or compensation programmes.
- Strong data-driven and business writing skills, enabling effective communication of complex information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles/Six Sigma methodologies to optimise processes.

**The role - Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager**
Risk and compliance officers are responsible for ensuring an organisation adheres to government regulations. As a Senior Level Manager, you will ensure CBRE complies with outside regulatory requirements, internal policies and Client requirements. In short, you're responsible for making sure that CBRE DCS plays by the rules, alongside supporting client decisions ensuring subject matter expertise within the industry.
This is a hybrid role, with travel as relevant to achieving key responsibilities.
**Key responsibilities are as follows:**
+ Provide Data Centre operational direction/leadership at the account level to advance the current risk and compliance offering on the Client Account.
+ Develop relevant quality, health, safety & environmental (QHSE) information and circulate across CBRE and ensure that procedures are reviewed periodically and amended where necessary.
+ Undertake site audits against the CBRE master service agreement to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and SLAs, develop action plans to ensure consistency across Client account and campus teams
+ Develop standardization of CBRE documentation platform (client) to ensure document strategy aligns with client expansion and expectation
+ Develop documentation control procedures ensuring compliance with relevant ISO implemented across the Account
+ Provide Risk and compliance leadership to the account localized campus teams.
+ Interface with the Client Compliance team, ensuring strong relationships whilst working together to a common goal.
+ To ensure QHSE and contractual compliance for CBRE and 3rd Party Data Centre operations.
+ Advise teams of indirect employees, influencing business outcomes for the Data Centre service offering
+ Actively participate in Engineering Operations and DC Operations activities by attending required meetings and developing and implementing programs and procedures on a priority basis to support and drive Risk and Compliance excellence.
+ Provide Data Centre solutions and new business transition support
+ Act as subject matter expert and single point of contact for Risk and Compliance, account direction whilst providing metrics, analytics and reports.
+ Consult with clients and account leadership with all aspects of Data Centre operations.
+ Lead, through Account/Campus audits on the development of Risk and Compliance strategies across the Client portfolio, this would include both client and CBRE internal audits.
+ Drive high quality Incident Management reporting looking at all data and information to deliver Root Cause Analysis and Lessons Learned.
**Skills, Knowledge and Experience:**
+ IT literate in MS Office and systems management software.
+ Able to co-ordinate and manage multiple works, end-to-end across a diverse and complex site.
+ The successful candidate must understand the regulatory landscape, industry knowledge, and the ability to assess risks, solve problems, interpret data, and communicate effectively.
+ Ability to review Incident reports and drive quality Root Cause Analysis to ensure Lessons Learned are embedded within the site Operation teams.
+ Have strong quantitative and technical skills

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Risk & Compliance to lead the compliance team. You will oversee all aspects of risk management, regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, and data protection, ensuring operations meet regulatory standards and industry best practices. This is a vital role in maintaining the firm’s integrity and supporting our strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Compliance Officer, MLRO & DPO, supporting operational teams with compliance controls
- Develop and implement risk & compliance frameworks to enhance governance
- Shape and execute the risk strategy aligned with business goals
- Design the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite, and Risk Register
- Oversee GDPR compliance and cyber risk mitigation as Data Protection Officer
- Lead, manage, and develop the risk & compliance team
- Advise the Board on regulatory obligations and emerging risks
Ideal Candidate:
- Over 10 years’ senior compliance experience within financial services, ideally within lending or specialist finance
- Ethical, resilient, and proactive leader

- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- ICA, CISI, or similar AML/compliance qualifications desirable
- Proven expertise in UK regulatory requirements and compliance management
