About The Team & Role:
You will work in a team tasked with doing work that will reduce the risk of road traffic casualties in the county of Gloucestershire, by analysing collision data, implementing speed management initiatives, providing safety reviews of highway design proposals and undertaking Road Safety Audits.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience by assisting in the management of road safety schemes, providing advice to colleagues and external partner organisations, reviewing applications to changes in the operation of the highway in terms of speed limits etc.
You will develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other GCC teams and external partner organisations to deliver road safety solutions.
You will work with local, regional, and national interest groups in liaison with internal GCC teams to help in the evolution, innovation and promotion of safe, healthy and sustainable travel for all road users.
About You:
You will have knowledge and appreciation of the Safe Systems approach to road safety. You will have knowledge and experience in improving road safety including requirements for ensuring highway design meets standards and guidance and provides safe solutions for all road users.
You will have experience in collision data analysis and deriving solutions to road safety issues. You will be able to undertake Road Safety Audits including being qualified in accordance with GG119.
You will need excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure our service levels are maintained. You will need to have a customer-focused nature to help build working relationships with your stakeholders.

+ Be responsible for the delivery of LRSP's suite of local road safety training and initiatives, including the management of clients, courses, and service users.
+ Maintain current availability through efficient and regular use of Clarity FOBS trainer availability calendar.
+ Where requested, undertake evaluation and further development of road safety training to service users.
+ Work independently, without supervision in a variety of locations and professional settings
+ Where necessary, manage conflict and dissatisfied clients, taking the appropriate action in challenging circumstances in-line with the LRSP's trainer handbook.
+ Provide support to the wider Education, Training and Engagement teams of LRSP
+ Respond to instruction, complaint enquiries and requests from the LRSP Training Supervisor and the LRSP Business Support team.
+ Participate in internal and external assessment procedures, ensuring compliance with national directives and fulfilling a commitment to continuing professional development.
+ Conduct dynamic risk assessments to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of those in attendance; reporting any issues as outlined in the trainer handbook.
+ Maintain compliance with UKROEd Trainer Licence Agreement.
+ Maintain competences in your training skill set, ensuring qualifications are current and relevant in relation to local and national deliverables and mandatory requirements, including all mandatory and requested courses via Lincs2Learn and CPD through UKROEd Academy.

+ A full UKROEd licence to deliver national speed awareness courses or other NDORS courses.
