This includes conceptualizing new designs, creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA), performing stress analysis and simulations (e.g., FEA), and selecting appropriate materials and manufacturing processes. The role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical principles, kinematics, dynamics, and control systems relevant to robotics.

You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from initial design ideation and prototyping through to final production and validation. This includes collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and control systems specialists, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into complex robotic solutions. Strong problem-solving skills are essential to overcome design challenges and optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You will also be responsible for generating and maintaining comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and test reports.

We are looking for candidates with a Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on robotics or automation. Proven proficiency in advanced CAD and simulation software is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Agile development methodologies and a passion for pushing the boundaries of engineering are highly valued.
