Reporting to the W Lounge Manager for W Edinburgh, as Commis Waiter/Waitress you will be the key link between the Kitchen and our guests on the floor, ensuring they receive their meals in a timely fashion and answering any questions the may have on the dishes.
Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel's opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is motivated, has an eye for detail, and would love to develop their hospitality skills!
As Commis Waiter/Waitress, key aspects of your role will include:
+ Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
+ Set tables to service standards
+ Answer any questions on the menu selection
+ Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, length of wait, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
+ Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with the food courses and beverages
+ Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silver throughout the day
+ Restock items
+ Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
+ Work as a team with the rest of the SUSHISAMBA team, supporting wherever necessary as directed by your manager

Product (food & beverage), menu, operational, food hygiene, service knowledge is essential.
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
Reporting maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel (i.e., management or maintenance).
Attitude, grooming standard, body language and tone need to be positive, supportive and on brand at all times.
Attendance at monthly departmental meetings and 1:1u2019s is essential for you to have the knowledge you need in your role.

**Qualifications:**
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
