As a Designated Safeguarding Lead you will take responsibility for safeguarding within the school, this means that on a daily basis you will be liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents/carers and staff on matters of wellbeing , child protection and safeguarding and will be a great source of support, advice and expertise in the team.
One of the best environments in SENDLuxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5 – 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. There is a large sports hall with changing facilities (the site was formally a Premier League football club’s training ground), a bespoke 6th form suite plus a number of other smaller individual spaces used for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support. The School benefits from extensive outdoor space plus a large central courtyard garden in the centre of the school and separate secondary and junior playgrounds, with a multi-use games area.
There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station less than a mile away, providing Central Line Tube services to London and Essex. The road links are good - the site is located near the M11, Junction 4.

Overall purpose
The Safeguarding Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing an effective and efficient administrative support service to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). The roleholder will also support the Deputy Safeguarding Leads and the work of the entire K-12 safeguarding team.
Summary of Duties:
- Manage and update safeguarding databases and documents
- Attend and minute safeguarding meetings
- Document and communicate with teachers and administrators for SST-approved tutoring and Enrichment Lesson forms
- Schedule meetings for the DSL and Divisional Teams
- Support DSL with attendance records and communication
- Support DSL with the management of safeguarding files for new students and students who have not enrolled
- Organize and work with facilities for on-site Safeguarding Training
- Participate in safeguarding workshops and online training as required
- Coordinate off-campus training for the safeguarding team, including online training
- Support the DSL with Monitoring and Filtering protocols
- Participate actively in the life of the School, through attendance at events, committee membership, and/or leadership of extracurricular activities
- Any other duties as are within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job as requested by the DSL
Selection criteria
Essential qualifications/experience:
- A proven commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children
- A minimum of two years of in-office assistance, preferably in an educational setting
- Good knowledge of Google Suite
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proven attention to detail
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently, including in the case of urgent situations
- Experience working with children and a sympathetic nature
- Outstanding collaborative skills and a desire to work in a team-focused environment
- A demonstrable commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
- Ability to safeguard sensitive information and uphold confidentiality at all times
Desirable qualifications/experience:

About this Role
Ormiston Academies Trust are looking for a Safeguarding Operations Manager, to provide operational leadership to maintain our strong safeguarding culture, ensure robust compliance and risk reduction. In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of safeguarding processes across the Trust, working closely with DSLs, Principals and Education Directors to ensure high quality practice.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or equivalent senior child safeguarding role within social care, youth, police or health service.
You will be a trusted advisor to academy and central team staff, providing advice, guidance case supervision and support on a wide variety of safeguarding related issues.
You will support and embed the implementation of safeguarding policy and practice across the Trust. In this role, you'll contribute to safeguarding quality assurance cycle, including reviewing section 175 returns, review training plans and conduct DSL 1-1 meetings.
This is a full-time remote role, with expectation of travel to OAT academies and offices as required.

About you
We are looking an experienced DSL or equivalent senior child safeguarding role with excellent knowledge of statutory guidance (KCSIE, WTTSC) and inspection frameworks. You'll have shown your ability to lead, having managed individuals or teams.

We have recently opened as a new SEND Secondary School in the heart of
Horsham, West Sussex
for young autistic people aged Most of our students are coming to us from mainstream education to have access to an adapted National Curriculum delivered in small classes with a focus on meeting their sensory needs and support for their emotional wellbeing.
The Role
This is a fulltime role committed to safeguarding our vulnerable students. You will be integral to building an effective safeguarding culture where all staff are confident and proficient in all aspects of safeguarding concerns. You will be supported by a wider safeguarding team and an SLT who prioritise child protection and safeguarding. As well as DSLs/DDSLs we also welcome applicants whose safeguarding experience has come from roles other than in school.
This is an exciting opportunity within senior leadership where you would be integral to setting up a unique SEND provision and building a bespoke curriculum with the support of Aurora. You would be part of a larger pastoral team too where you would lead on family liaison. You would support and monitor tutor group teams to ensure effective communication with home and you would have dedicated time to train staff.

A local authority in South East England is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead their Adolescent Safeguarding Team. About the Service:
The Adolescent Safeguarding Service works with families of children aged 12+, focusing on contextual safeguarding, neglect, and family breakdown. The team promotes relationship-based practice to help families overcome challenges and keep children safely at home. Practitioners benefit from integrated support, including adult mental health workers, domestic abuse specialists, and substance misuse professionals.
Role Overview :
The appointed Team Manager will:
- Lead and develop a team of social workers
- Contribute to strategic planning and policy development
- Ensure safe, effective practice and manageable caseloads
- Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture
