Key Responsibilities:
- Serving as assistant to the H&S Director day to day.
- Responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the company internal training operation.

- Monitor and manage key compliance steps throughout the company, prepare safety KPI statistics.

Job purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join our EMEA team and ensure the highest standards of health and safety across both our retail and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
The Health and Safety Coordinator will be based in the Michael Kors office in London and will report to the CAPRI HSE Director within the Global Loss Prevention team.
What You’ll Do:
This is a very wide and varied role where you will be responsible for:
- Maintain systems and databases to ensure comprehensive compliance across all health and safety areas, including accident and incident reporting, audit results, monthly safety checks, and action plan tracking.
- Produce detailed monthly health and safety reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, incidents, and compliance status.
- Coordinate and administer health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring records of such training are maintained and readily available.
- Support the creation, distribution, and delivery of safety materials, including posters, newsletters, and toolbox talks.
- Assist in the development and revision of health and safety procedures as directed by the Head of Department.
- Provide support and administration for emergency response strategies, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and first aid readiness.
- Ensure all accidents and near misses are properly recorded and investigated and that corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Work with appointed H&S consultants to create schedules and ensure all risk assessments, fire risk assessments, audits, and other country-specific surveys are carried out as planned.
- Follow up with stores or facilities management on any remediation actions required after H&S consultant visits.
- Work closely with Retail Operations, Store Development, Legal, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and other key business partners to better detect, investigate, report, and resolve internal and external safety events.
- Monitor and interpret legislative updates related to health and safety, ensuring the organization remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a similar role.
- NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and Technical IOSH membership as a minimum.
- Ability to partner with remote teams belonging to different functions.
- International mindset.
- Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite. Excel knowledge is essential.
