We are seeking a regional Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading industrial processing organisation. You'll be covering approximately 40 sites throughout East Anglia and Kent. The company in question is a global business with a large UK SHEQ team, so there is excellent scope for career progression, promotion and exposure to diverse projects. You will be providing a high-quality service to operational sites, facilities and locations and ensure the successful local delivery and implementation of the company Health & Safety strategy.
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Supporting site teams to implement group health & safety procedures.
- Engaging with local enforcement authorities and agencies on health & safety issues.
- Assisting in compilation of health & safety management arrangements to ensure retention of ISO accreditation.
- Providing health & safety coaching for all levels of operational teams.
The Health & Safety Advisor will have:
- Health & safety experience in waste, logistics, construction, manufacturing or any high-risk environment.
- At least 3 years' experience in health & safety.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent. Ideally with or working towards the NEBOSH Diploma
- Lean Six Sigma experience desirable.

gap construction are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 interiors company, recognised for their delivery of prestigious fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. This role will be based in Ipswich, supporting key projects while ensuring the highest standards of health and safety compliance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and diligent health and safety professional to join a well-established organisation on a 12-month contract, with the potential for future opportunities within the wider business.
Performance Objectives
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures across active projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Provide practical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors on safe working practices.
- Assist in the delivery of health and safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and support root cause investigations where required.
- Produce clear and concise reports to highlight safety performance and recommend improvements.
- Promote a positive safety culture and act as a key point of contact for health and safety-related matters on site.
Person Specification
- NEBOSH General Certificate is essential.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a health and safety advisory role within construction, ideally with a focus on interiors or fit-out projects.
- Strong working knowledge of current health and safety legislation and construction site requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise site teams effectively.
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to continual improvement.
- Ability to travel to project sites in the Ipswich area as needed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our Sizewell team. To be considered, you will come from a Civil Engineering or Construction background. The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Management systems across site(s).
Implementing and monitoring strategies that will promote development in the safety management system. A team player and problem solver who will work with the project delivery teams working collaboratively and proactively. A good communicator who will deal with Client H&S teams and management on a daily basis as well as our direct workforce and supply chain.
The ideal candidate will have to hold a full UK driving licence, as travel between sites is necessary.
Key Accountabilities to include but not limited to:
- Be an integral part of the Project Delivery team, helping to deliver accident and incident free projects li>Advising contract and site staff on content of risk assessments, method statements, task-specific briefings, Site Health & Safety Plans, and safety issues generally
- Chair Project level monthly HSEQ Forward Planning meeting, conduct monthly HSEQ Audits and inspections, ensure closure of non-conformances. Engage with staff and workforce while on projects
- Representing the Company at Safety meetings with Clients and Sub-Contractors. Attend Project Pre-Start Meetings and Sub-Contractor Pre-Start Meetings
- Accident Investigation and reports. Carry out with the Project Delivery Team and ensure improvement actions are identified and closed out. Produce relevant Safety Bulletins for company wide distribution
- Communication of safety initiatives/notices/alerts to staff and workforce
- Liaison with HSQE Director or Head of Health and Safety – producing monthly Project summaries, assisting in Group procedure reviews. Attend weekly HSEQ review meeting < i>Assist with development and deliver in-house safety training programs/presentations
- Issue staff information as to changes in technology, work methods or statutory requirements by means of safety bulletins, and internal safety procedures applicable to the Company
- Keep up to speed with client H&S Standards and Specifications and ensure that these are implemented at project level
- Devise strategies to meet targets and encourage best practices ensuring compliance with HSE legislation
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position
- Comply with Company policies & procedures
Experience/Knowledge:
- Previous experience of Civil Engineering or construction projects – covering areas such as drainage / groundworks / structures / temporary works / Reinforced Concrete / earthworks / lifting operations etc < i>Knowledge and understanding of statutory H&S and Environmental Regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of Client Health Safety and Environmental requirements
- Good understanding of CDM 2015 – Roles and Responsibilities
Skills:

Your new role
I am seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to provide effective guidance and support to our site delivery team on a major earthmoving contract. The new role, which is site-based, is deemed an integral position in ensuring the successful delivery of the project.
- Provide effective health, safety and environmental support and guidance to our site team to ensure a safe working environment without risk to health, safety, or harm to the environment.
- Continually promote high standards of health, safety and environmental management and drive continuous improvement
- Conduct regular HSE site tours and inspections ensuring personnel are working in accordance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Conduct incident investigations and associated reports
- Identify and report performance trends
- Build positive relationships with all levels of the workforce
- Work in close collaboration with the clients' SHE team ensuring set HSE standards and goals are met
- Conduct Site Inductions
- Closely support the HSE Administrator

- Experience in the delivery of Health & Safety services and will have a background in construction/building industry.
- Experience in bulk earthworks would be particularly desirable.
- You will hold an NEBOSH General Certificate or above qualification and have a strong understanding of the CDM regulations.
- You will have construction and major civil engineering experience obtained from a previously held site-based role.
- Experience reviewing site health, safety and environmental documentation
- Excellent working knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety Legislation
- Confident and organised
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to work under constraints
