As a Road Safety Cycle Training Officer, you will be at the heart of Oxfordshire’s mission to create safer, healthier, and more sustainable communities. This is not just a job it is a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of thousands of children, families, and road users across the county.

This is an annualised-hours role, totalling 456 hours per year.

About you

This role will require travel to various BDUK locations and collaboration with multiple functions and departments. Responsibilities will include delivery, development, and enhancement of Human Factors and SMS training, as well as the creation of in-house training solutions and the execution of the SMS safety promotion program.

**The role has the following key responsibilities:**

**Essential competencies, experience and qualities:**
+ **Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.**
+ Formal instructional qualification (DTTT, DTc, Level 3/4 in Adult Education and training (AE&T) or teaching qualification).
+ Qualified as a Defence or Civil Human Factors Facilitator, qualified to the associated requisite regulatory authority standard (Qualified Crew Resource Management Trainers (CRMT) will also be considered).
+ Strong communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills, as well as developed understanding of how to deliver emotionally intelligent training solutions.

**Desirable competencies:**
