We’re looking for someone highly organised and proactive (known internally as a Senior Sales Operations Officer) to become the operational backbone of our Business Development and Sales function. From CRM integrity and pipeline visibility to opportunity triage and campaign coordination, this role offers variety, visibility, and real impact. You’ll act as a central point of contact across frameworks, CRM workflows, and internal coordination; keeping our business-winning activities running to plan and on pace. Your work will help ensure operational rigour behind every lead, bid, and customer interaction.

You'll be based at our Head Office in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. On-site, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across Business Development, Sales, Marketing & Comms, and Delivery, so strong communication and relationship-building skills will be essential.

How you’ll support us

You’ll play a key role in our restructured Business Development function, providing the operational glue that keeps things aligned and moving. Reporting to our new Head of Business Development, you’ll support two newly formed teams led by our Lead Key Account Manager and Lead Business Development Manager, all focused on delivering our strategic growth ambition through Beyond Boundaries 2030 .

From managing CRM data and dashboards to coordinating with Marketing & Comms, triaging inbound opportunities, and overseeing our bid portals and frameworks, you’ll bring people, processes, and information together to help the team perform at its best.

Essential experience

  • Strong organisation and communication skills
  • Background in sales operations, sales support, or bid/framework coordination

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Desirable experience

  • Experience in the defence, government, or security sectors
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or pipeline reporting tools

We are now recruiting for a Sales Operation Analyst.

As part of this team, you will run all orders that are processed through the sales function. This means receiving and checking the order passed from the sales agent through to final costing and commissions at the end of the project.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with the daily running of the sales order process via logging a sale through sales orders.
  • Assist with final costings of new system and additional installs once complete on a daily basis.
  • Generate commissions and reporting to the Sales and Service Support team.
  • Assisting with install task billing from the install team for all one-off billable events.
  • Liaise with dealers in relation to new orders and updates on existing orders.
  • Assisting with the leasing process (inc system finance)- This includes checking paperwork, ensuring we have a valid PO, triggering leases and running monthly reports on progress.

Requirements

  • Calm and organised to ensure workloads are managed effectively.
  • Must have an eye for detail when checking orders.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn new skills and continually develop oneself.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written. Much of the communication is with project managers and other internal customers.
  • Quick and logical thinker
  • To not be afraid to ask questions, take on board the answers and learn and deliver from that new knowledge and understanding.
  • A demonstrable ability to follow process and build a reassuring rapport with internal customers.
  • A real team player who collaborates with all members of the team and business, one who is willing to listen, as well as share knowledge, help understanding and develop themselves and ideas across the team.
