As the Sales Data Operations Lead for our Growth Markets sales team, you will deliver automated, actionable insights to drive customer management and sales activity across our SME sales teams. Reporting into Head of Sales Operations, you will combine data from multiple sources using our proprietary data governance and management software and third-party tools.nYou will build, product-by-product, a framework that allows the ingestion of product usage data combined with client sales data and data from other sources. and then create insight and triggers that you will convert to workflows to deliver increased account retention and upsell performance across our Growth Markets customer base.nResponsibilities:nSystem Integration: Effective system integration ensures that data from multiple sources can be combined, processed, and analysed to provide comprehensive outputs, enabling a unified view of business operations and informed decision-making. You will understand the impact of the data involved, including its quality, format, and relevance. It also includes designing and implementing a clear path to ingest data into a central data management platform.nReview data for errors, inconsistencies, and anomalies. Maintain high-quality data standards and document processes for transparency.nData Analysis and Visualisation: Design charts, graphs, and dashboards that highlight key insights. Report sales performance to key stakeholders, ensuring they have a clear understanding of business metrics.nIdentify and address issues within data processes. Diagnose data quality problems, develop strategies to resolve them, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.nSalesforce Reporting and Dashboards: Create and customise reports and dashboards within Salesforce to track key performance indicators and business metrics. This includes interrogating CRM information to uncover valuable insights about customer behaviour, sales trends, and opportunities for growth.nQualifications

This is a strategic, client-facing role where you will partner with senior stakeholders to modernise data platforms, accelerate cloud adoption, and drive measurable business value.
The role combines technical leadership with consulting and pre-sales expertise . You will design enterprise data solutions, shape transformation roadmaps, and engage at C-suite level to influence decisions. Around 40–50% of your time will be spent on pre-sales activity, including responding to RFPs/RFIs and shaping compelling solution narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Leadership – Lead the technical pre-sales process for banking clients, engaging at CIO/CTO/CDO level and translating requirements into solution blueprints, proposals, and presentations.
- Enterprise Solution Design – Architect end-to-end data and cloud solutions across platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or Azure Fabric.
- Cloud Strategy & Adoption – Define and lead cloud migration, modernisation, and optimisation strategies using tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Data Products & Transformation – Position reusable data products and architectures that drive measurable transformation aligned to banking sector priorities.
- Client Advisory & Engagement – Act as a trusted advisor, leading workshops and influencing senior stakeholders on strategy, roadmaps, and innovation.
- ETL/ELT & Data Engineering – Provide oversight on robust data pipeline and integration designs using SSIS, ADF, Informatica, or IBM DataStage.
- Data Governance & Quality – Define governance, metadata, and quality frameworks using tools such as Unity Catalog, Profisee, Alation, or DQ Pro.
- Technical Leadership – Mentor cross-functional teams and embed best practices and innovation across projects.
- Industry Insight – Stay up to date on emerging trends such as data mesh, data products, and generative AI to strengthen the consultancy’s thought leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in BI/Data Warehousing/Analytics, including 4+ years in pre-sales or solution architecture roles with a strong track record in banking transformation.
- Pre-Sales Expertise: Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs, delivering C-level presentations, and shaping winning solutions.
- Cloud Knowledge: Proven expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP, with hands-on experience in cloud-native architecture and modernisation.
