Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for finding and developing leads and sales opportunities for the Data Insights solutions in the EMEA region
 - Successfully attain and exceed an allocated annual sales quota
 - Account manage existing and future Data Insights subscribers in the EMEA Region
 - Liaise with Data Insights division team members to manage renewals, query responses, operational alerts, relationship management issues
 - Support Head of Data Insights on strategic development of the Data Insights and associated products
 - Represent Hazeltree and the Data Insights solution at approved conferences
 - Work closely with other Company groups to effectively succeed in the role
 
 
Qualifications
- Experience requirements:
 - 5+ years of experience in selling data suite offerings to investment firms
 - In-depth knowledge of the functioning of the Capital Markets eco-system
 - Significant number of contacts in both the buyside and sellside in EMEA
 - Salesforce, Excel and associated software skills
 - Personal Requirements
 - University degree
 - Second language a plus

Summary
Our client, a leading global data and AI consultancy, is seeking a Pre-Sales & Data Solution Architect Lead - hybrid role to become one of their leaders in this area in their Data Management practice with a focus on banking clients .
This is a strategic, client-facing role where you will partner with senior stakeholders to modernise data platforms, accelerate cloud adoption, and drive measurable business value.
 
The role combines technical leadership with consulting and pre-sales expertise . You will design enterprise data solutions, shape transformation roadmaps, and engage at C-suite level to influence decisions. Around 40–50% of your time will be spent on pre-sales activity, including responding to RFPs/RFIs and shaping compelling solution narratives.
 
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Leadership – Lead the technical pre-sales process for banking clients, engaging at CIO/CTO/CDO level and translating requirements into solution blueprints, proposals, and presentations.
 - Enterprise Solution Design – Architect end-to-end data and cloud solutions across platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or Azure Fabric.
 - Cloud Strategy & Adoption – Define and lead cloud migration, modernisation, and optimisation strategies using tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
 - Data Products & Transformation – Position reusable data products and architectures that drive measurable transformation aligned to banking sector priorities.
 - Client Advisory & Engagement – Act as a trusted advisor, leading workshops and influencing senior stakeholders on strategy, roadmaps, and innovation.
 - ETL/ELT & Data Engineering – Provide oversight on robust data pipeline and integration designs using SSIS, ADF, Informatica, or IBM DataStage.
 - Data Governance & Quality – Define governance, metadata, and quality frameworks using tools such as Unity Catalog, Profisee, Alation, or DQ Pro.
 - Technical Leadership – Mentor cross-functional teams and embed best practices and innovation across projects.
 - Industry Insight – Stay up to date on emerging trends such as data mesh, data products, and generative AI to strengthen the consultancy’s thought leadership.
 
 
Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
 - Experience: 10+ years in BI/Data Warehousing/Analytics, including 4+ years in pre-sales or solution architecture roles with a strong track record in banking transformation.
 - Pre-Sales Expertise: Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs, delivering C-level presentations, and shaping winning solutions.
 - Cloud Knowledge: Proven expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP, with hands-on experience in cloud-native architecture and modernisation.
 - Banking Domain: Essential knowledge of retail, commercial, or investment banking, including regulatory and finance transformation.
 - Transformation Delivery: Demonstrated success in designing solutions that deliver tangible business change.
 - Leadership & Gravitas: Ability to establish credibility quickly with senior technical and business stakeholders.
 - Enterprise Data Modelling: 3–5 years using ERwin, ER/Studio, Power Designer, or similar.
 - BI/Reporting Tools: Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
 - Certifications: Preferred – Cloud certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.

The role:
 
Working across various industries, you will be responsible for responding & coordinating RFPs & RFIs for Data Management transformations. You will be responsible for designing the high-level solution required, as well as building out the delivery framework including estimation of resource, time, budget, milestones, KPIs.
 
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years within Pre-Sales
 - Strong technical understanding of Data Transformation - including cloud migration, data warehouse, data governance, and data quality
 - Strong communication & engagement skills
