What you'll do
As our Business Analyst, you'll:
- Work with finance and procurement leads to document and improve current processes.
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Map out "as-is" and "to-be" processes, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Support SAP upgrade projects, including impact analysis, gap analysis, and process redesign.
- Develop new policies, procedures, and workflows aligned to improved processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide training and documentation to end-users on new system features.
What we're looking for
Essential skills & experience :
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- At least 3 years' experience as an SAP Business Analyst, ideally within upgrade/change projects.
- Confident with process modelling, agile ways of working, and gathering requirements in user story format.
- Skilled in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of data structures.
Desirable :
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (highly preferred).
- Knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, HR.
- Background in the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in SAP reporting tools and data analytics.

- Senior SAP Payroll Analyst
- Location - Hatfield (3 days p/ week)
- Salary - £55k
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for full-cycle, complex payroll processing and associated tasks, including:
Payroll Operations
- Managing end-to-end payroll for complex payrolls, ensuring legal compliance (especially with UK tax and employment law).
- Monitoring and recording company benefits to meet legal standards.
- Handling parental leave, Sharesave schemes, payrolled benefits, overtime, etc.
- Producing payroll reports and management info, using advanced Excel.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaising with HR, Finance, Reward teams, and external providers to maintain data integrity and solve queries.
- Acting as escalation point for payroll issues and mentoring junior team members.
- Managing employee payroll-related queries.
Compliance & Audits
- Supporting or leading payroll audits and year-end tasks (e.g., P60s, P11Ds, HMRC submissions).
- Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of legal changes affecting payroll.
System & Process Improvements
- Using SAP Payroll systems effectively, assisting with system improvements and legal patch testing.
- Prioritizing daily/weekly tasks to meet SLAs.
- Driving process improvement, automation, and payroll system efficiency.
- Supporting global mobility team with overseas assignments.
- Managing year-end processes and setup for the new tax year.
Experience & Skills
- Proven senior-level payroll experience (ideally in a large or complex organization).
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation (international payroll a bonus).
- Proficient in SAP Payroll – this is a must-have.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- CIPP qualification (or currently studying towards it) is desirable.
