Our Technology team are looking for an experienced SAP Test Manager to join them on a permanent basis in either London or Frating, Colchester.
Joining a newly created team and reporting into the ERP Programme Director, the SAP Test Manager will take the lead on managing all SAP testing required within our Transformation programme. Working collaboratively with all members of the SAP Centre of Excellence teams, you’ll be responsible for testing the process, development and management of test plans.

The role
Key responsibilities:
- Developing plans for SAP applications (OCR, Concur, Invoice Error Handling and HR mini Master) ensuring budget controls are adhered to.
- Managing development requests from internal stakeholders.
- Development lifecycle planning for SAP applications, including the identification and communication of any issues with overlaps to ensure management and timely resolution of potential risks.
- Communicating deployment processes into the live environment across SAP Solutions teams.
- Work with both external suppliers and internal development teams to co-ordinate developments, testing and deployments.
- Chair development testing planning meetings to prioritise testing requests with the business stakeholders.
- Identify, manage and communicate any risks and dependencies between new solutions released as part of SAP Transformation programme.
- Work with ERP Programme Director, Technology Project Managers, SAP Process Manager and SAP Environments Manager to ensure testing dates are communicated and co-ordinated with operational activity.
- Work with the SAP teams to design and implement changes to the test and release processes for all SAP applications impacted by changes to the testing environments.
- Responsible for the coordination of IT and UAT testing, liaising with end users to ensure requirements and timescales are communicated, planned and understood.
- Manage delivery from 3rd party vendors, ensuring any issues and concerns over delivery and quality are managed, understood and resolved.
- Ensure code has been through a rigorous QA process before handing over to the end users for UAT.
- Ensure test scripts are in place for all UAT and regression testing being part of the transformation programme.
- Ensure testing specifications are properly linked to detailed business requirements, liaising with internal teams to plan and deliver regression testing.
- Work with suppliers and internal development teams to ensure the code being delivered into live is of sufficient quality to limit the impact on the live operation.
- Further develop the automation test tool to deliver a robust SAP functional testing process and maximise its potential.
- Ownership and on-going management of the release module in Jira and Service Now.
- Chair go/no go meetings for the deployments; presenting test results and the release plan to gain buy in from the relevant stakeholders and the Service Owner.
What you’ll bring
- Proven track record of effectively supporting business systems and SAP applications, Concur, OCR systems and HR mini master.
- Previous SAP management experience, with a background in working as a Test Analyst within SAP environments.
- Proven track record of improving testing processes and an understanding of the different development methodologies.
- Experience of acting as the main point of contact with users, IT departments and suppliers.
- Understanding of the different development methodologies.
- Experience in interface testing, writing detailed test scripts and test plans.
- Understanding of integration testing and the ability to work alongside other project teams and 3rd parties.
- Understanding and experience of SAP solutions and which testing are required.
- Experience of working with testing tools . Jira, Service Now.

- Able to thrive in fast paced and high-pressure environments, finding solutions in a timely manner.

The role
The SAP S/4 HANA Finance Data Expert is responsible for coordinating business data requirements within the related S/4HANA design process, providing best practice data concept proposals into the design process, defining and documenting relevant S/4 Enterprise Data Standards, and ensuring that existing SAP data is ready to migrate to S/4 HANA.
The role is aligned to the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) Enterprise Planning and Management Reporting (EP&MR) organisation and supports the EP&MR Data Design Lead in cementing the relationship between the S/4 Data & Analytics organisation and the EPO organisation, whilst proactively engaging with the wider business (including data offices and governance forums) to ensure that the S/4 data design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standard where possible, and supports efforts to achieve a Quality Core.
The role will support the implementation of design concepts for key data objects such as Profit Centres, Cost Centres, WBS elements and Margin Analysis characteristics (COPA fields) as we deploy in our ‘pioneer markets’.
Typical Accountabilities
- Define, document relevant S/4HANA target state business data standards by providing data subject matter expertise into the global process design cycle, ensuring process designs align with S/4HANA data best practice concepts and process data requirements are collected and consolidated into robust data documentations.
- Apply data, process and object expertise to support EP&MR related S/4 process design, acting as an integral part of the EP&MR EPO design & data teams, considering both business process and analytics requirements to support best business practice.
- Collect and share relevant ‘as-is’ data structures and harmonisation assessments alongside best practice to-be Data Design proposals and feed into the Global Design process.
- Involvement in supporting / advising on the change journey from current to future state data design including completion of change impact assessments and outline of critical use case examples.
- Ensure data within EP&MR Data Domain complies with the S/4 HANA Data Governance Framework and AZ Global Data Standards.
- Support the prioritisation of data delivery as related to EP&MR , reporting on progress to EP&MR Data Design Lead and other relevant stakeholders.
- Support relationship with current business data capability to ensure that S/4 design and the wider enterprise data design remain aligned (to include supporting interim state).
- Assist and contribute to the development of the S/4 Cleanse and Migrate approaches and plans.
- Support the cleanse and enrichment approach for data within EP&MR Data Domain in accordance with the overall data cleanse strategy.
- Provide support to project data migration processes, including the co-ordination of pre & post load business sign off.
- Support & assist the S/4 Data Governance team in the creation of effective global procedures to ensure that each data asset within EP&MR Data context is governed throughout its lifecycle.
Essential for the role
- Familiarity with SAP or S/4 HANA data constructs relevant to planning and management reporting such as Profit Centre, Cost Centre, Product Hierarchies, COPA / Margin Analysis.
- Demonstrable knowledge of how business data requirements support process execution and analytics, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to business users.
