**Job Description**
We are looking for a Energy Management Engineer to work in the Crewe area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Electrical Vehicle Systems background, have extensive vehicle architecture knowledge and have experience testing both high and low voltages energy systems.
**Duties include:**
- Testing of LV MV electrical vehicle systems, and reporting in accordance with VW golden rules and legislation requirements.
- Planning, testing and reporting of electrical stabilisation tests on all projects.
- Testing and validating of the LV energy system during set scenarios, in accordance with VW group specification and requirements.
- Presenting of findings and test reports to functional managers and key stakeholders and making recommendations where appropriate.
- Organising and testing of owned systems locally and overseas.
- Reporting back to ECU and function owners' results and findings.
- Working cross functionally where required with other departments to achieve milestones and meet deadlines.
- Liaising with group counterparts to ensure owned parts and legislation changes are adhered to.
- To take ownership of electrical storage system components, including the development of hardware, software and associated components through to series release.
**Qualifications**
+ Competent using vehicle diagnostic tools (VW Group tools would be advantageous)
+ Sound understanding of vehicle electrical architecture with the ability to diagnose electrical faults
+ General understanding of a vehicle electronically and mechanically would be advantageous
+ Confident in working alone and setting own tasks and targets
+ _Ha_ rdware and software ownership of mid-voltage electrical system, e.g. 48v super capacitor.
+ Full driving license required.
