We are seeking a distinguished Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology to join our dynamic Faculty of Education in Cardiff . This role is ideal for an accomplished academic with a passion for teaching, research, and contributing to the development of future educators. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the academic life of the university. This position operates on a hybrid model, balancing academic responsibilities on campus with remote scholarly work.

- Deliver engaging and inspiring lectures, seminars, and workshops on Educational Psychology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course curricula, ensuring alignment with current research, pedagogical best practices, and professional standards.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in Educational Psychology, leading to high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
- Supervise student research projects, including dissertations and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of modules related to child development, learning theories, assessment, and special educational needs.
- Actively participate in the academic community, including departmental meetings, faculty initiatives, and university committees.
- Seek external research funding through grant applications and contribute to the faculty's research profile.
- Provide academic advising and pastoral support to students.
- Engage in professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge in Educational Psychology and higher education pedagogy.
- Foster strong links with schools and educational practitioners to ensure the relevance and impact of teaching and research.
- Contribute to the wider public engagement activities of the university.
- Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- A strong record of teaching experience in higher education, with excellent pedagogical skills.
- A demonstrable record of significant research output, including publications in reputable academic journals and successful grant applications.
- Expertise in core areas of Educational Psychology, such as learning processes, child development, cognitive psychology, and educational assessment.
- Experience in supervising postgraduate research students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse academic team and contribute to collaborative projects.
- Commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Experience in curriculum development and module leadership is highly desirable.
- Professional registration as a psychologist or eligibility for such registration is a plus.
