We are looking for a Tutors for Science and Engineering to join our team.
As a Sessional Tutor at University International College, you will join our successful team and provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. We are looking for individuals with knowledge and teaching expertise in two or more of the following areas: Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Statistics, Chemistry, and Information Technology.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Tutor is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader.
What you’ll bring to the role

Experience of teaching to post 16 students (a teaching qualification would be an advantage).

The Opportunity
This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at #Bridgwater on the Hinkley Point C construction site or Satellite Delivery Centre – both part of the largest construction project in Europe.
You’ll join our Engineering Programme, gaining hands-on experience in science and engineering within a dynamic and safety-focused environment. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real-world challenges, and develop technical, analytical and collaborative skills that will support your future career.
What You’ll Be Doing
During your Science & Engineering Industrial Placement, you’ll be immersed in practical learning and supported by mentors and collaborative teams. Past students have contributed to safety improvement campaigns, supported radiation protection strategies, and helped maintain condition monitoring programmes across operational sites.
This placement offers the chance to apply your academic training to genuine industry problems while completing modules that contribute towards your degree.
Your Work Location
You’ll be based at the #Bridgwater Hinkley Point C construction site or Satellite Delivery Centre, where you’ll be part of a team driving progress on one of the UK’s most significant energy projects.
Who You Are
To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve – or have already achieved – a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree (2:2 or higher) in Science, Technology, Maths or Engineering.

An excellent secondary school located in Ruislip, Hillingdon are looking for a motivated STEM Learning assistant who is a graduate to be able to work with children on a one to one basis and in small groups. You will be expected to work with KS3/KS4 students. The school highly values the importance of academic knowledge and are wanting to recruit someone who shares this ethos.
You will be assigned a form group to manage/ support and working alongside the teachers to also support the STEM departments and support children in their attainment and progress. You will need to support children's learning up to GCSE level, be adaptable accordingly to the needs of the individual children, and make observations and carry out target setting instructed by the teacher to improve progress.
The position would be perfect for a future trainee teacher looking to gain experience within secondary.
Key skills and experience needed:
- Degree is preferred in STEM Subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathemetics
- Experience working with children.
- Contribute an enthusiastic and creative approach to learning.
- Support with the delivery of the curriculum.
