Prospero Teaching are seeking a passionate and experienced tutor to support a young learner (Year 10) currently accessing an EOTIS (Education Other Than In School) package. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about science and committed to making learning engaging and accessible.
About the Learner:
- Described as very enthusiastic, with a strong interest in science
- Keen to work towards the IGCSE Double Science Award
- Has been out of formal education for some time and requires a supportive, adaptive approach
- Previously received tutoring in a public setting and feels comfortable in this environment
- Working towards Science (IGCSE Double Award)
As a Tutor you will:
- Provide 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
- Be adaptive, creative and positive.
- Deliver sessions in a way that is engaging, practical, and confidence-building.
- Have a keen interest in science and be able to translate your passion into your sessions
About you:
- Experienced in teaching IGCSE Science
- Able to tailor sessions to the learner's interests and emotional needs
- Experienced wth working with learners with SEN/EHCPs

Full time/part-time - 6 hours per week

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
- Confident in planning and delivering IGCSE Double Science and possible Maths and English Functional Skills for further sessions in the future.
