Are you a Degree-Educated Chemist, Biochemist or Microbiologist and want to play a part in the UK's transition to Net-Zero by joining a pioneering business that is leading the way in the production of Renewable Biofuels within a niche but upcoming sector?

This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a number of sites across Scotland and have been continuously expanding throughout recent years. They have 2 major sites currently under construction along the A96 corridor as well as others due to begin construction early this year, as well as plans to expand southwards into England.

In this role you will be working at the company's centre of innovation where new processes and technologies are trialled, to support with things such as feedstock testing, process trials, plant commissioning and ongoing scientific research into the Anaerobic Digestion process.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar and will preferably have at least 2 years' post-graduation experience, although this is open to discussion. Most importantly, they will have excellent critical thinking skills and will be capable of working independently to carry out their own research and conclusions.

This is a great opportunity for someone within the field of Chemistry to make immediate and significant impacts on the development of Renewable Energies by joining a team of like-minded individuals who are all supporting the ongoing improvement of Renewable Biofuel technologies.

The Role:
* Aiding development of process innovations to improve profitability, reliability, yield and efficiency
* Following wider ongoing research within field of Anaerobic Digestion and informing management
* Conducting Biomethane Potential & Residual Biomethane Potential tests on feedstock & digestate
* Planning out and carrying out lab-scale tests to analyse new potential feedstocks

The Person:
* Educated to at least Bachelors Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar
* Analytically and critically minder
* Capable of working without supervision and producing own conclusions/findings
* 2+ years' post-graduate experience (preferable)

Are you a Degree-Educated Chemist, Biochemist or Microbiologist and want to play a part in the UK's transition to Net-Zero by joining a pioneering business that is leading the way in the production of Renewable Biofuels within a niche but upcoming sector?

This company specialises in the production of biogas through the process of anaerobic digestion at a number of sites across Scotland and have been continuously expanding throughout recent years. They have 2 major sites currently under construction along the A96 corridor as well as others due to begin construction early this year, as well as plans to expand southwards into England.

In this role you will be working at the company's centre of innovation where new processes and technologies are trialled, to support with things such as feedstock testing, process trials, plant commissioning and ongoing scientific research into the Anaerobic Digestion process.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar and will preferably have at least 2 years' post-graduation experience, although this is open to discussion. Most importantly, they will have excellent critical thinking skills and will be capable of working independently to carry out their own research and conclusions.

This is a great opportunity for someone within the field of Chemistry to make immediate and significant impacts on the development of Renewable Energies by joining a team of like-minded individuals who are all supporting the ongoing improvement of Renewable Biofuel technologies.

The Role:
* Aiding development of process innovations to improve profitability, reliability, yield and efficiency
* Following wider ongoing research within field of Anaerobic Digestion and informing management
* Conducting Biomethane Potential & Residual Biomethane Potential tests on feedstock & digestate
* Planning out and carrying out lab-scale tests to analyse new potential feedstocks

The Person:
* Educated to at least Bachelors Degree level in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or similar
* Analytically and critically minder
* Capable of working without supervision and producing own conclusions/findings
* 2+ years' post-graduate experience (preferable)

This position is part of the Research and Development (R&D) team located in Newcastle and will be an on-site, position. You will be a part of the Advanced Staining Reagents (ASR) R&D team and report to the R&D Manager.
