This is not a standard ECT placement. You’ll be joining a supportive secondary school that values inclusion, resilience, and positive relationships above all else.
You’ll be teaching and mentoring pupils aged 11–16 , helping them re-engage with learning, develop confidence, and make safer life choices.
Many of these students have faced barriers linked to:
- County Lines or gang exposure
- SEMH needs such as ADHD, anxiety, or trauma
- Challenging home circumstances or poor attendance
You’ll gain real-world classroom experience while shaping futures and building a meaningful teaching career.

- Deliver engaging, creative lessons tailored to students’ needs
- Build trusting, professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Implement restorative and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management
- Support the school’s safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives
- Be a role model for perseverance, empathy, and positive decision-making

- Newly Qualified or Early Career Teachers (QTS achieved or pending)
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
