What You'll Be Doing
Working on client sites you will support and lead engagements that deliver cyber risk assessments, improve security control maturity, define secure solutions and ensure compliance.
- Delivery of small to medium cyber security work-streams or engagements
- Understanding business and information risk context of our customers and judging risk at a technical and business process level
- Reviewing effectiveness of security controls and proposing proportionate security improvements and mitigations.
- Analysing and researching security technologies to support the development of innovative solutions
- Working with in both IT and OT enviornemnts, across government and/or critical national infrastructure sectors
- Working and collaborating with account teams to identify new opportunities for work and support the production of quality proposals
Skills & Experience
- Ability to articulate and pitch security advice, often at a technical level, directly to key customer stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as both written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience of working in both OT and enviornments desirable
- Can evaluate cyber security risk at the technical, system process and/or organisational level measuring the associated business impact using a structured approach

The Role
The Senior Security Consultant reports to the Practice Lead and is an essential role in ensuring the Ingentive team and clients can conduct their business efficiently through the adoption of Microsoft 365 products. You will provide technical knowledge and experience of the Microsoft 365 security tools that we implement and configure to provide our clients with a confidence that their environment is well designed and protected. You will be able to assess and recommend appropriate use of Microsoft 365 products to meet a client’s needs or problems, propose/design effective and efficient solutions, and implement these. You will work within a project team and assist in the communication with all stakeholders about the benefits of each solution, the timescales, and project progress.
Essential Expertise:
- At least 3 year+ experience in delivering innovative Microsoft security solutions for clients, cross industry sectors.
- At least 3 Microsoft certifications (relating to Azure-AZ, Security-SC, Power Platform-PL, Modern Work-MS and Copilot/AI).
- Excellent consulting, design and delivery of Microsoft Defender suite and SIEM/XDR.
- Effective technical hands-on experience configuring/implementing products such as Microsoft Azure, Entra & Purview.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor across both technical and commercial discussions — defining frameworks, advising stakeholders, and ensuring robust security within cutting-edge AI ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and implementation of AI/ML security strategies, policies, and standards.
- Architect secure, scalable AI/ML systems, data pipelines, and cloud environments.
- Advise clients on AI security risk management, compliance, and governance.
- Deliver strategic pre-sales support — from solution design to client presentations and bid responses.
- Champion ethical AI principles and align architectures with frameworks such as the EU AI Act and GDPR.
- Evaluate and implement AI/ML security tools, ensuring adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, TOGAF, and SABSA standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DevSecOps practices within AI/ML lifecycles.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years’ experience in cybersecurity architecture, including hands-on leadership.
- Proven pre-sales and commercial experience — confident presenting to senior stakeholders and supporting bids.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML models, data privacy, and adversarial ML mitigation .
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Current security certification (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, TOGAF, and SABSA.
