You’ll navigate conflicting priorities effectively and maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
This role is offered on a fixed-term basis of 12 months.
While we can offer some flexibility, this is mainly an office-based role, in which you’d be working from our Bournemouth office.
Key Responsibilities

- Liaising with relevant business areas to advise on information/actions required.
- Redacting data in line with data protection rules and regulations.
- Understanding and applying appropriate exemptions where applicable and confirming any exemptions clearly within customer correspondence.
- Identifying and escalating any concerns or breaches to the Data Protection Office.
- Ensuring data requests are transported securely, negating the risk of breaches through interaction with Information Security and DPGO.
- Assisting in managing and sorting/redirecting incoming post and dealing with emails from Outlook mailboxes.
- Supporting and guiding colleagues in other business areas on DSAR recognition, handling and regulations.
- Supporting the Data Protection Office when required with MI and other information.
- Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders (Customer Experience, Sales Distribution, Product etc.)
About You
Our ideal candidate will…

- Possess an understanding of the DSAR process to ensure a smooth customer experience (desirable).
- Be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in line with the Data Protection Act and ICO guidelines.
- Consistently demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Be a conscientious, trustworthy individual who can be trusted to do the right thing for the business and our customers.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be able to recognise vulnerable customers and ensure they are assisted appropriately.
- Comfortably work independently without continuous supervision, while also being a proactive and supportive team member.
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of computer programmes such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe.
- Be able to deliver the results of your findings in a clear, concise manner, and be able to discuss the reasons behind each decision.
- Have prior experience processing DSARs (desirable but not essential).
- Have prior experience of using Respond and/or Dropbox (desirable but not essential).
Please note that we are unable to offer Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship for this role. Therefore, you must ensure that you are eligible to work in the UK without our sponsorship in order for your application to be considered.
