We are looking for an Compliance Officer to join a friendly and dynamic team based in the heart of Didsbury village. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a busy office which looks after mostly SME clients. You will be responsible for a breadth of duties, including client liaison, HMRC queries, client documentation, compliance, and providing administrative support to the team.

This is an on site role Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm 32 hours per week


The successful candidate will have a strong compliance and administration background, the ability to work across multiple systems and be confident using MS Office and other software package. You should be a friendly, reliable and hardworking individual who is passionate about providing high-quality customer service.


The role is based in the office four days a week (Monday-Thursday) , and you will work in a professional but friendly environment amongst a small team of 5 with an outsourced overseas team of 10 accountants. The brand new renovated offices in the heart of Didsbury village provide a great working atmosphere for you to thrive in.

Your typical daily duties will include:
Managing post system
Applying for authorisation
New Company incorporations
ID verification checks for compliance
Pension Regulator declarations for clients
Monthly pension declaration for clients
HMRC Compliance,
Managing deadlines for clients
Payrolling new starters
Invoice management
Dealing with queries to HMRC phone calls and queries
Recording all jobs in and keeping track of all filing deadlines and chasing clients.
Managing the filing of confirmation statements and other documents to Companies House for Limited company clients.
Answering calls to clients and dealing with queries.
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
General administration duties

Skills:
Excellent customer service skills both face to face and over the phone and email
Excellent organisational abilities
Great attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Maintain objectivity, independence and integrity always
Be an ambassador for the firm and maintain client relationships

The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as an office manager or administrator or PA would be considered
A strong administrative or operations background

Reporting to the HSE/Compliance & Performance Engineer, you will:

  • Take charge of legal and other non-regulatory compliance requirements, internal HSE audits, DSE requirements, fire safety, task audits and site inspection.
