Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the optimisation and continuous improvement of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance process yield, reduce defect rates, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Utilise statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools to monitor process performance and identify trends.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process excursions and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with R&D and equipment engineering teams on the development, qualification, and integration of new processes and technologies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.
- Train and mentor junior process engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Drive the implementation of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Participate in capital equipment justification and procurement processes.
- A Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., lithography, etching, deposition, CMP).
- Proven expertise in statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-technology manufacturing environment.
- Full-time commitment is required at our Bristol, South West England, UK facility.

- Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain yield and quality targets.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process-related failures and implement preventative measures.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) methodologies to improve process capability and reduce variability.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline. A PhD is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor process engineering, with a focus on one or more key fabrication steps.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor physics and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in SPC, DOE, and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Experience with cleanroom operations and advanced fabrication equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with metrology techniques for process characterization.
- Experience in failure analysis and yield improvement programs is highly desirable.
