We’re looking for an Architectural Design Manager to join our Beaconsfield office and lead the creation of high-quality new homes, working closely with the land and planning teams to take concepts from idea to reality.
Responsibilities- Leading feasibility studies and developing concept designs for upcoming residential schemes.
 - Preparing and submitting planning applications, supported by high-quality presentation materials and documentation.
 - Producing accurate technical drawings and design packages to support project delivery.
 - Ensuring all designs evolve in line with updated regulations, technical standards, and purchaser requirements.
 - Preparing and issuing design statements and other supporting planning documents.
 
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketch Up (3D Design Programme).
 - A natural collaborator with strong communication skills, able to work effectively across multiple teams.
 - The ability to produce high-quality presentation materials and well-structured Design and Access Statements.
 
- A highly collaborative, friendly and supportive team.

Role OverviewAs an Architectural Design Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the full design process from concept to completion. You will ensure all client design information is validated with on-site conditions, oversee technical coordination, and produce accurate drawings to support manufacturing and installation. The ideal candidate will have previous Design Co-ordination experience working on multi-million pound projects.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the full architectural design process, validating client design information against 'as built' conditions on site.
 - Carry out detailed site surveys using 3D survey equipment and verify 2D and 3D client data.
 - Manage and coordinate technical submittals, product samples and mock-ups.
 - Liaise with client representatives, architects, and subcontractors to ensure full approval of design information.
 - Produce accurate 2D site setting-out drawings to support project delivery teams and installation work.
 - Co-ordinating the design development, the production of CGI renders, GA's, Elevations and specification documents for client signoff.
 - Lead the conversion of designs into 3D models, supporting Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategies.
 - Create detailed production and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor.
 
- Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
 - Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor.
 - Experience with other 3D modelling software is desirable.
 - Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
 - High attention to detail with strong accuracy and quality control.
 - Excellent organisational and communication skills.
 - Flexible, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.
 
- Salary circa £65,000 (depending on experience)
 - Working hours: 8.00am - 5.30pm, with 1 hour for lunch
 - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer in Architectural Design and Contemporary Technologies within the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. The post-holder will have experience of conceiving and delivering high quality and research-led pedagogy in architecture, as well as a significant track record of internationally recognised research.
Candidates will have a broad interest in contemporary technological developments and the ways they are affecting processes of design and realisation of architecture, and demonstrable expertise in some areas of this. We are looking for evidence of work that is investigative and exploratory, with strong conceptual underpinnings.
In addition, the post-holder is expected to have a track record of delivering successful teaching and learning in higher education, and some academic leadership and management experience with evidence of successful implementation of subject related initiatives, events and/or projects.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, creative and effective scholar and teacher able to make significant contributions related to their specific expertise and interests to a range of programmes in ESALA. Within the professional programmes, BA/MA (Hons) Architecture and/or MArch, the appointee will be able to devise and lead exciting and critical design studios that explore possibilities for practice driven by contemporary technological developments. In addition, the post-holder will have the opportunity to contribute to appropriate courses within ESALA’s important platform of postgraduate taught programmes. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise and ability to attract and supervise doctoral students pursuing their research by both thesis and ‘by design’ (creative practice) routes, and experience of having secured funding for research projects is required.
The post is full-time (35 hours/week) and open-ended.
