Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze global regulations affecting company operations, products, and services.
- Draft, amend, and implement regulatory policies and internal compliance guides.
- Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and provide actionable insights to business teams and senior management.
- Conduct global regulatory surveys and assist in preparing regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage external legal counsel efficiently to clarify complex regulatory issues and advise on commercially viable solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend mitigation strategies.

Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer called to the bar in SG, MY, UK, or HK.
- Minimum 4 years PQE in regulatory compliance, preferably in the crypto/web3 space across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex legal and regulatory texts.
- Proven experience in policy drafting, regulatory monitoring, and compliance audits.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The Role
The Regulatory Compliance Manager will be a key figure in ensuring YouLend maintains a robust regulatory compliance framework. Requirements
- Regulatory Compliance Framework – Contribute to the maturity of the regulatory compliance strategy and framework, ensuring there is a consistent and scalable approach to ‘compliance’ across training, policies, KRIs, testing, reporting.
- Compliance Monitoring - Support with the enhancement of the design and implementation of YouLend's Compliance Monitoring and Testing Programme including tracking and monitoring progress against the annual monitoring program and adapting it to the changing regulatory and business environment.
- Governance and Management Reporting - Raising the standards of management reporting and governance, assisting the Head of Regulatory Compliance with preparing updates to YouLend’s Senior Management Team where necessary and embedding a governance framework that facilitates this.
- Horizon scanning - Through the identification, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of current and future regulatory risks, including gap analysis of new regulatory initiatives and guidance from the Youlend’s regulators
- Advisory – Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing guidance on regulatory topics and helping the business navigate complex compliance landscapes in the UK, EU, US and other jurisdictions.
- Regulatory Engagement - Support the Head of Regulatory Compliance with managing regulatory engagement, tracking and handling queries, audits, and ongoing communications with YouLend’s Regulators.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- 3- 5 years’ experience in a regulatory compliance role, ideally within a payment institution, electronic money institution or a similar regulated entity.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex business problems
- Demonstrable experience of supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks, particularly for FCA-regulated entities.
- Experience leading regulatory reporting processes.
- Familiarity with EU regulatory regimes and experience supporting applications for new regulatory authorizations is a strong plus.
- Experience working in B2B financing or corporate lending is desirable.
- Experience applying statistical techniques and analytical methods to extract insights from data.
Skills

About the Role
You are a regulatory compliance subject specialist and able to take responsibility for executing regulatory processes and monitoring compliance tasks to a high standard. You can spot opportunities for strengthening processes and controls and strive to implement and build systems and processes that support a strong compliance culture. You’re able to influence stakeholders to promote the compliance agenda and can motivate and inspire team members to perform to a high standard. The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to lead and support our global regulatory engagement efforts. Based in London, this is a critical role that will help shape and manage the company’s ongoing interactions with regulators and banking partners across multiple jurisdictions.
Reporting to the Global Head of Regulatory Compliance, this role will act as the central coordination point for regulatory engagements, communications, and relationship management, ensuring a consistent, transparent and professional approach across the business.
What You’ll Do
Regulatory Engagement Leadership
- Lead preparation of materials (e.g. briefings, presentations) for regulatory interactions and support Country Risk & Compliance during these engagements.
- Lead regulatory correspondence management including tracking, filing, and response coordination across all regions ;maintain centralised records of all regulatory communication, feedback, and outcomes, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
- Support license applications and variation/renewal processes across global jurisdictions, working closely with Legal and local teams; maintain global license registers and monitor ongoing obligations, conditions, and renewals.
- Lead regulatory consultation responses and industry engagement activities globally.

The Team
The Risk & Compliance team at EML believes in rolling up their sleeves and getting things done.
At EML, we don't subscribe to ivory tower compliance – the organisation seeks a hands-on leader who will engage across the organisation and understand the practical impacts and outcomes of their work.
The Risk & Compliance team at EML is divided into two overarching teams:
- Country Risk & Compliance – hold broad responsibilities within their countries/regions and where applicable hold designated titles (such as SMF or PCF designations). They are supported in the execution of their functions and activities by a global team of specialists but maintain ultimate decision-making authority and control via oversight of all parts of programmes and activities that impact on their country/region.
- Global Risk & Compliance – narrowly focussed specific functions or areas, providing deep subject matter expertise, framework design and execution support and standardisation across the group in the areas of Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management and Strategy, Testing and Assurance, Regulatory Engagement and Reporting, and Privacy and Consumer Protection.
The Compliance Manager – Regulatory Engagement is a global specialist role, operating and coordinating across multiple jurisdictions and entities to ensure customer- centric and privacy-compliant practices across the business.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual to lead and support our global regulatory engagement efforts. Based in London, this is a critical role that will help shape and manage the company’s ongoing interactions with regulators and banking partners across multiple jurisdictions.
Reporting to the Global Head of Regulatory Compliance, this role will act as the central coordination point for regulatory engagements, communications, and relationship management, ensuring a consistent, transparent and professional approach across the business.
What You’ll Do
Regulatory Engagement Leadership
- Lead preparation of materials (e.g. briefings, presentations) for regulatory interactions and support Country Risk & Compliance during these engagements.
- Lead regulatory correspondence management including tracking, filing, and response coordination across all regions ;maintain centralised records of all regulatory communication, feedback, and outcomes, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
- Support license applications and variation/renewal processes across global jurisdictions, working closely with Legal and local teams; maintain global license registers and monitor ongoing obligations, conditions, and renewals.
- Lead regulatory consultation responses and industry engagement activities globally.
- Lead and coordinate regulatory examinations, banking partner reviews, and independent audit engagements including planning, evidence collation, response development, and post-exam follow-up.
